Am I being unreasonable?

  • It rather depends how you've spent those 3 months. If you've been just dating a couple of times a week you won't know someone as well as if you've being been virtually living with them throughout the same period.

My husband and I were both in education, got together at the start of the summer holidays and spent the first 8 weeks in each other's company almost 24/7.

Although it's not an expression I would use, you can call someone your soul mate without necessarily meaning that there's only one of them.

This is probably right - but I've never felt the same about anyone else in my life as I did when I saw my OH. I didn't meet him face-to-face, just saw him across a room, and 'knew' that he was the one.

I think youve actually got to experience this feeling to understand it.

You've been going out together for three months, you haven't as yet met his children ...and yet marriage has been discussed?

I agree with that as I felt exactly the same about my partner. Note the word partner as even after 27 years we are not married. This has nothing to do with how we feel about each other, just how we feel about the institution.

However two weeks into the relationship he wanted me to meet his two year old daughter. She (and the rest of his family) lived at the other end of the country so it involved a whole weekend with her and staying at his mums.I thought it was madness at the time, and it was pretty nerve wracking, but everything turned out fine.

I think what i'm trying to say is we're all different and so are our relationships.

Anyway back to the OP. I agree don't spend your Sundays hanging around. I also think its a shame they can't agree what time the children go back as it must make it very difficult to plan activities for the children on Sunday. They too must be hanging around waiting for their mam to call

I've thought this for years but never found anyone that agrees with the logic. You must be special, P1 !

    I agree, i'm onto my third soulmate(husband).......
  • Your husband was desperate and you probably had very little in terms of options so it worked for you both

    What a vicious comment.

You obviously have some serious mental health issues. You need to get help.

Surely the kids have a bedtime so he will take them home before that? Then you have a rough idea what time he is child free and can make plans for after that time?
