DazzaE, I work in telecoms, and very closely with BT. I might have some info/numbers that can help you - PM me when you're next on.

The only number that can help is the 08000223089. They are the only ones who can chase up a line and find why the order hasnt yet gone through.

    Hello friends !!,

Good News, spoke to BT yesturday after another 1hr and 20minute wait and well the girl i spoke to never had a clue !! so i lost my patience (i did say sorry to the girl) and spoke to a BT Supervisor.

He then told me the number I have for my actual phone isnt even my number it was someone elses who is being reconnected. He then apoligized for all the inconvience and is sorting out a compensation package (any ideas what this will be any 1?) and promised my line would be activated on the 28th of augest (isn't good enough they might be moving it am waiting for a phone call within 48hrs now).

After 6 Calls to BT numerous hours of waiting it seems like maybe just maybe am getting somewhere now. Anyone who is having problems just ask to speak to a supervisor they seem to know alot more !!

To be honest in my experience the supervisor is only repeating the information the initial advisor is giving out.

My advice (coming from an advisor) be polite, you'll find they're a lot more co-operative if you're polite, after all they havent caused this problem personally! ;)

Yes, i understand what your saying my friend but when you get through to people who dont have a clue what your talking about and dont understand whats going on then obviously you have to speak to someone who does (if am lucky enough to get through to someone like yourself it would be fantasic) but it doesnt always work out that way does it and am always polite
