  • That's the cancelation form I filled in and hand delivered a copy to my local Vodafone store (video of that was taken on my phone) and also a copy was sent to their head office recorded delivery so they got that today.
I am taking note of dates, times and content of each and every communication I have with them as I have had my fingers burned like this before and I now realise the importance of paper work etc.

DCA don't really scare me either. They are all hot air and no action.
  • If you gave notice to cancel and then got a PAC, the notice is void and the contract will continue unless you exercise the PAC within 30 days. Either way unless they agree to waive it they will continue to pursue the debt with all its consequences.

As the OP cancelled within the cooling off period, there is no debt (other than any bills for airtime or calls not yet paid).

Would you want to pay £700 that you do not owe?

But as I said, it is important for the OP to follow through to ensure they don't get hassled by debt collectors and adverse credit scores.

Follow vodas internal dispute procedure if they don't agree to the cancellation, get a letter of deadlock and take the matter to the ombudsman.
  • the pac code will be from my original contract as far as i am concerned because as of last week my pre order contracts were cancelled as i have given notice by every way possible, It up to vodafone to accept it and if they don't i am happy for them to take me to court as i have got so much evidence against them i will win and claim a huge amount for distress and monies lost.

How would getting a pac code void a pre order upgrade cancelation??

This is something mobile companies try on

If you ask for PAC but don't use it, they claim that this somehow voids your cancellation, so best to make sure you use the PAC
  • will defiantly be going to use the pac on friday. I'm off to 3 network. its cheap and 30 day contract.
rest assured im not staying with vf. sad really as they used to be a customer focused company.

obviously a number cruncher has sat and worked out that if vf totally disregard their customers and british law it works out more profitable than acting in the way we perceive they should. sign of the times.

If it is the case that it is an extension and therefore does not fall within 14 day cooling of period I am 101% sure that Vodafone would of gladly shoved that up my nose byt upto now they have not in all the many hours of communication with them.

its not a extention, if a new handset and minimum monthly spend are part of the deal its a new contract, not a rolling one.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

As I thought it is a new contract that ties you in for 12 month. regardless whether it is an up grade.

    WELL WELL WELL.

Yesterday was the day that my upgrade was meant to be delivered. Low and behold I get a phonecall from Lee who stated that both orders had been cancelled (even though I checked when he was online and they were still active) and that he would look into getting my phone un locked. He also offered me a good will gesture of no final payment for my last bill (I am guessing around 30quid).

Sadly I am not going to accept this as I am goin to follow my complaint through with the ombudsman as this company needs a kicking in the nuts so to speak for the way in which they treat customers.

Ironically 3 hours later the manager of my local vf store rang to say that SHE had got the contracts cancelled and that she would also get my handset unlocked!!!

The top and bottom of the whole pre order cancelation fiasco is that VFwere s..t scared to cancel on the off chance that the handset was sent out by mistake on release date! They must think im stupid!!!!

To top it all off I have no way of contacting their customer service as my number is now ported, they have removed my access to their site via login and the ever so not helpful glory taker from the shop will not answer her phone. It looks like another trip to the shop to see her as I got the impression that creating a scene in their 'cool' shop didn't go down to well.

Oh and I have just got an email to say that they have received my instruction to lift the bar on PREMIUM RATE NUMBERS. The biggest bunch of lying, numb inept fools I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Lee please ring me again or you best give the manger of local store a heads up.

Its not the shops fault, retail are treated separate and to be honest if it was my shop you would be asked to leave. The ombudsman wont do much, as they have no spine I would take the £30
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
