Purchase of fuel for a weekend trip away came from money set aside for that purpose, and no other spending is happening today, so that is NSD number 8 for the Cauldron of Doom!!!

Cheffie indeed has been busy in the ship's galley,slaving over a hot fire,mixing and refining his piece of resistance: extra spicy stoaterburgers with stuffed sprouts and potato wedges,then his famous Baked Alaska pudding,which has always ended in disaster,but,he assures me that tonight it's going to be a culinary triumph!



Igor,meanwhile,is sulking in the corner,as he skillfully stuffs the sprouts,protesting that Baked Alaska doesn't usually contain snow,but Cheffie,as usual,talks over him,and has sent out Hubert on the dinghy to fetch some snow.
Methinks that Cheffie will lose his cool at some point....

Meanwhile,marmite sits in her boudoir sobbing away in a ladylike fashion.....her caper allergy means that her carefully chosen outfit flashes badly with her skin tone (red n blotchy).

Would you know it,scotmum has only gone and used up all the calomine lotion to treat her little vole flea bite problemo....

What else could go wrong I wonder?

Well, I see that preparations are coming along well for next weekend's pirate-themed Halloween party......if scotmum's rash persists, and we can keep chucking capers at marmite, they could dress up as the Poxed-Up Pirate Zombie Twins from Hell......ingenious!
