Have hospital appointment this evening, and managed to persuade OH not to go down the takeaway route for dinner, so today will be NSD number 7 for that hungry Cauldron of Doom!
Our evening meal will be a strange but delicious combination of cheese on toast with onions, served with bacon, fried egg and baked beans. All using stuff already in stock. (Enters smug git mode)One life - your life - live it!0 -
Well done, me hearties! We got the treasure! We left the Scroggins mob and the cannibals fast asleep and had it away on our toes with Igor's umpteen-times-great granddaddy' s chest!
Well done to Igor for not getting the spiked drinks mixed up - it could have been a disaster but it wasn't.
So - crowbar ready and HEAVE!!! That's it ....opened! Now feast yer eyeballs on these lovely, shiny, sparkly.......

Quiet you varmints! With much gentle persuasion (you can get off him now, Tiddles) I have got Igor's explanation for why the treasure chest is full of ladies' unmentionables....
It seems Igor's ancestor was one for the ladies, and at one time had three mistresses on the go at the same time. He used to steal their underwear as proof of his success with women. One of his family heard him one day bragging about his three girlfriends and how he had stashed their undies in his sea chest.
Unfortunately the family member came in halfway through the conversation so only overhead. ".....So in that there chest I've got Pearl' s, and Ruby' s...and my beautiful Crystal' s......"
And the idiot family member put two and two together ....And you can see how the story got passed down.
Stop blubbering, Igor, we know it wasn't your fault....And yet.....You knew the tale of his knickers fetish.....why didn't you tell us your ancestor was an old perv? I see now where you get your fancy for chest wigs and lederhosen from.....
Oh well, shipmates, no treasure after all...but we gave Scroggins a good bashing and had a nice little sea cruise......where shall we set sail to next, captain? One life - your life - live it!0
