I went on holiday last year for a week with a friend I've had since we were 5 years old. We were walking down the prom looking for somewhere to have a drink. She said we should go back a few streets because the drinks would be cheaper!!! She has always been well off, but recently come into an inheritance in the region of several millions of pounds.0

Gosh, suddenly remembered about going out with a work colleague one night. Quite a few of us were there, everything but the drinks had been paid for prior to the night. When it came to paying for the drinks, this particular colleague went into meltdown because the others told me that I was not to contribute my share, as I had only had a single soda water & lime and was unfair that should have to contribute to their costs (I don't drink and when I am out, drink slowly anyway). Said colleague could not understand why they had to contribute to my drink. Others were furious, especially as I was the one driving and going to be getting the colleague home. Things were a bit fractious in office next day!A smile costs little but creates much0

I've never done it but watering down milk sounds like quite a good idea if, like me, you prefer skimmed milk, you could just water down full fat milk.
I might give it a try

I sometimes womble long-ish Asda receipts to check the price guarantee - usually pays off. I am not even slightly ashamed, it's money for nothing.

My ex wanted to have a party for his 30th. He was going to hire a hall, get a dj, the whole shebang.
It was planned for two months, there were facebook and WhatsApp groups and countdowns and promises of surprises and the idea that it was going to be the party of a lifetime.
The night before the party we were all told there would be a £25 "entrance fee".
The dj ended up being an iPod on shuffle, there was a cash bar, there was no food.
He must have made a good few quid from it.~~I am debt free~~0
