The terms and conditions should be on your mum's council's website.
Just goggle the council's name +prize draw + terms and conditions.
Here is an example of one

This at least gives you the option of proving that the vouchers should go to your mum's estate.0 -
Your original comment was unhelpful. Telling a bereaved person they are being "too soft" in the circumstances is not appropriate. Furthermore your assertion that the vouchers had been stolen is pure speculation. Furthermore to form an opinion based on one instance of hearsay is very unwise. Your whole tone is arrogant and unhelpful. People asking for help on this board can usually expect people to be understanding and helpful. Sadly you don't fall into that category. You should be ashamed.DandelionPatrol wrote: »Apologize to whom? You? All your post is doing is providing cover for thieving from the dead.
Y'kno OP's Mum has died and she had won some vouchers. Where do you think those vouchers have gone?
When my grandfather died in his chair, a neighbour who worked in the trade came in and suggested that the family would be wise to strip Grandfather's pockets of money and valuables, and take off his watch, because such items seldom get returned to the family. Robbing the dead is endemic and I am not going to- apologize
- accept that the comment is miserable
- accept that the comment is unhelpful
- accept that the comment is inappropriate
Perhaps you should be apologizing.0 -
That's rich considering some of the things that get posted on these forums. From what I see an opinion formed from one instance of hearsay is 100% better than a hell of a lot of opinions mooted on these forums. Most are based on personal prejudices.Furthermore to form an opinion based on one instance of hearsay is very unwise. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. You have produced no evidence whatsoever that the sort of fraud you claim exists widely. I don't doubt there is some of it but lets see you evidence to support your assertions. You should try helping people on this forum rather than adding to their distress in this way. To accuse me of unctuous humbug shows that you should not use big words that you don't understand the meaning of.0

Any opinion based on hearsay is always suspect. Just because there may be a number of opinions on here based on hearsay is no justification for condoning one, or indeed any of them. Sadly they can be seriously misleading. On this forum in particular people asking questions need to be given help and compassion rather than glib unhelpful comments such as DP gave. That's rich considering some of the things that get posted on these forums. OP came here complaining that the vouchers were withheld. She seems to be offended that I suggested that someone in the council invented a rule to withhold the vouchers and may have pocketed them.
I will cut her some slack as she has been bereaved, But I defy you, Mr Radio Call Sign to tell me what is glib or unhelpful about affirming OP in believing that the vouchers have been wrongly withheld.0 -
