I thought it might be nice to resurrect this thread today
My OS pleasures for today are:
1)Making a delicious chicken pilaff out of leftover chicken.
2)Packing a hm lunch for all the kids and OH-saves loads of money.
3)Not spending any money in town today -always a good one.
4) Whipping up 4 dozen flapjacks for the school tuck shop at the cost of £3.14 (not including fuel) or 6p each. The school sell them for 10p and make a nice profit which goes towards new stuff for the kids.
5)Picking another handful of autumn fruiting raspberries from the garden. I'm building up a nice little stockpile of them in the freezer.0 -

My OS pleasures for today are:
1) Everyone enjoying the pasta bake for supper, and there being enough left for "leftover surprise" for DD and my pack-ups
2) Turning our HG apples into a "surprisingly fine apple pie" (so it says on the recipewhich I will post later in the week) and DS having room for seconds
3) Coming home from w*** and pulling the second crop of beetroot, to cook and freeze later in the week
4) Having a "tidy enough" house, care of Flylady
5) Being told I'm not such a bad Board Guide after all :A
Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
1) Picking about the last of our green beans.
2) Taking MIL to the pub for her 85th birthday and having homemade chips,
massive yorkshire pudding, roast beef, horseradish, gravy and peas.
3) Not having to cook supper for once as OH and I are both still so full from
pub lunch, 2 main meals for £9 and well worth the treat. I need a rest.
4) Watching the full moon hiding in and out of the clouds, for free.
5) Double Corrie! Cuddle on the sofa! Still no heating on.
I'm having a day off!

My five OS pleasures today have been:-
1. Making marmalade from a tin of prepared sevilles.
2. Eating a homemade roll with salad for lunch.
3. Cooking 10oz of 'rubber' chicken into a yummy chicken pie in the
remoska to feed four adults and two children for dinner tonight.
4. A small blackberry (foraged) and apple crumble pie made on Friday from
left over pastry. Not enough for a pie so lined a foil container with
pastry and topped with crumble mix (always keep some in the freezer).
Warmed this through tonight in the remoska.
5. The wonderful cuddles my grandchildren gave me when they left the
table. They always do this and it's worth more than all the money
Gordon Brown has just thrown at the banks.
