    Morning All

    Not such a good start here. Have been awake for around an hour with a very sore stomach to the point I can't sleep. I have just got up made a hot water bottle, taken some paracetamol and brought a cup of tea back to bed. I really hope I haven't pushed myself too far with the amount of work I've done this week and all the rest of it.
    I am still 2 weeks off my due date so again hoping it's not baby related but just over doing it.
    I know it's my own fault if so. Would really like another hour or so of sleep so hopefully the warm tea and hot water bottle will do their work.

    LegoMum- we loved House of Cards S1 and 2. I personally found S3 not as good but there you go I suppose it's hard to sustain. Kevin Spacey is amazing in my opinion. He plays the bad guy so well. Another show that DS loved on Netflix was Inspector Gadget so if yours like Danger Mouse maybe one to try next?

    Bye for now.

    Bob

    Grrrrr so gave up and got up at 5. Came downstairs with the hot water bottle and tried to get comfortable on the sofa. At 6 little man comes stumbling down, straight away steals the hot water bottle and blanket I'm wrapped in and demands I get up to put the telly on. Yep kids. You can see why they are so lovable can't you. :mad:

  • Bob sorry to hear your lack of sleep and pains. I hope you get some more rest later on :)

    My list today:
    We're staying at home so a NSD
    Go for a run shortly, only managed 1 last week, must aim for 3 this week
    Do as much as we can to put garden 'away' for autumn - folks coming to help as it's hard to do the front with the girls.
    Write shopping list for Thursday for weekend away, keep to a minimum but it'll stop us spending whilst away if we take enough with us. Will be a few treats in there to save the purse later on :p
    Last of washing on 30 - dry outside
    PAD to cc
    Catch up with some diaries on here later.
    Early night curled up with downtown :j

    Enjoy your day everyone, will check back later:)
  • Morning :D feeling birhgt and chipper this morning. After getting up at 4 yesterday :eek: I fell asleep at 8.30 last night and slept through until dgd woke up at 6...

    Bob so sorry to hear you've woken up in pain. Any chance this could be the big day? Anytime from 36 weeks is full term, isn't it? Hope you feel better today and get some rest.

    Small things for today:

    * NSD for sure!
    * List these items on fleabay. This is my only urgent job for the day!
    * all meals from stores
    * dgd has a birthday party to go to this morning. Taking £3 pairs game I picked up the other day. I think it's really cute, hope the recipient does too!
    * need to go through ms assignment paperwork for later today
    * go through fridge and work out what needs to be used and what needs to be frozen
    * load of washing and on the line
    * go for a woodland walk later on
    * play game with oh this evening & read book for entertainment
    * submit meter readings

    Ok that's my lot! Have a great day everyone x

    Morning everyone

    Lovely sunny day here. Nothing planned and it's just me and DS2 as OH has taken DS1 fishing. After a day at home yesterday I feel like I want to do something/go somewhere but I cant think what - and finding something very cheap or free that my 14yo will want to do with his Mum might be tricky.

    We will see. I need to shorten the curtains that I bought to go over the front door about 2 years ago and actually put them up this winter!

    Hope you are OK Bob.
  • Morning all!

    I've not been around much this week, but have just been catching up on you all - well, just skimming through really.

    Bob - I think you do need to slow down! Glad to hear though that trade picked up after last Monday. That's the main problem with catering - it's all or nothing & impossible to predict.

    I think we're going into mid Wales a bit later on to see DD2. At the moment the mist is refusing to budge, but if anything like yesterday it will eventually burn off & turn into a lovely sunny day. Fingers crossed!

    There's been lots of free food to forage this week - I've come back from walks with damsons, blackberries, windfall apples, wild pears & parasol mushrooms. The garden's still producing lots of runner beans & tomatoes, so not so much to buy this week.

    I went into our nearest big town earlier in the week to return a watch that I bought 2 months ago, as the strap fell to pieces. The assistant was not at all helpful, just kept repeating that although the watch was guaranteed by the manufacturer, the strap wasn't. I came back home & contacted the company using ML's 'resolver' tool. Result! Yesterday I received a full refund!

    Can I ask for your opinions on quick & easy surveys? I started doing onepoll a few weeks ago & find them quick to do & the cash is building up nicely. Are there any more out there that are similar? I did start doing 'yougov' but got bored doing those.

    Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  • kayannie I just signed up with panelbase and seem to be getting invited to 2-4 a day and they are reasonably paid. Haven't had a payout yet as have been busy since signing up so haven't done any! Might try to catch up with these today...

    Very pleased. Just did monthly accounts - cc which we put gc spends on has just issued statement so that's it for the month (might try and eek out to the end of the month so it can be 1st-end of month. Dunno seems I would have to be super creative to last that long!)

    so gc spends for month was £166.16/£175 :T
    Have put £10 into savings to go towards Christmas food
    have put £100 into pot to pay back oh's mum (we've already paid her £2000 & now have £600 in savings for her. Would be amazing if we could give her £1000 at the end of the year. Would be real stretch to get that extra £400 in 3 and a bit months but might aim for it...)

    Not too bad on 1 income :beer:

    Ha ha when I was with my db we were talking about gc spends and he could not believe that we spend about £40 pw for the 3 of us and said he can't get his below about £120 a week (3 adults him, his wife and 17 year old son) :D

    Bob, I know you've got a full on day again today but please try to rest if & when you can. My two also love Inspector gadget amd they were pleased to see it on there, they watched the films a couple of years ago and then I found some of the original cartoons on youtube which they really enjoyed. There was a remake of the cartoons that they watched on sky earlier in the year but neither of them were that keen, they loved the old ones! :)
    We've not started on the new House of Cards, we finished off watching the BBC original series last night and plan to watch the new ones from next weekend :)

    £120 a week :eek::eek::eek:

    Kayannie, I know you got bored of yougov but I must say that I have found them to be one of the best as you don't get screen out all the time (the other one I do is swagbucks and 8/10 times I get disqualified) oh and I-Say they are quite good.
