That is a good point, I guess if you are rich you don't need a credit card. So if you have a special credit card, you are not rich enough, just a wannabe.:D:D:D

'the rich' don't need a credit card. that doesn't mean that they aren't wise enough to use one though;)
  • You should pop over London's west end, the cards are out all the time over there.:D

And there clearly is a market for people who want to impress with a bit of plastic.

I personally don't like to be in with crowds, and like to to "business" with brands that no one has heard off. This reflects on my debit card also, although anyone I go out with knows Im working class and common as muck. And if they don't I make sure they do.;)

I think most of us would prefer to know the value of money and not fall for the love of money.

Whilst I insist on using credit cards for everything, domestically and internationally,...

i have done so generally too. but business purchases that are small are just paid for using business debit card. and i've started using a personal one too.. rather than backing Amex Cashback with CapOneAE i've been using TSB Debit card in the past couple of weeks to bag some 5% cashback.:D

Yeah, some of the rich never appear to be rich.

I was over the west end once with my father, an old gentleman approached and asked (we were in a white van - common as I said:D)if we could assist him in taking a rug from a shop to his flat. He said he would pay. I thought he was a bit of a tramp.

Ok, we said, and we helped him with his rug into the van, and gave him a lift also, once we arrived back at his flat, it was some place in Chelsea, worth millions, and he had someone (a butler or similar) come and collect the rug, he then took out his wallet, and it was stuffed, I mean stuffed, with £50 notes, he handed over a single note, said thank you and went in to his flat.:D

    edit:
On another note, I know a couple of people that have at least 300k cash in the bank, they leave their bank statements out, despite me telling them not to, they have no desire to open any private accounts nor do they care, they are tight as well. Never spending more or splashing out. I say to them "why don't you go around the world?" "oh no I can't do that at my age".
