You've gone down the list of search results and picked the one single result that includes the word 'Tribute'.
Presumably you didn't realise all the others were tribute dates, which just proves how misleading it is.0 -
How is UK Foo Fighters misleading? It's obvious it's not the Foo FightersFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0

It says "UK Foo Fighters tickets" (http://www.seetickets.com/event/uk-foo-fighters/o2-academy-islington/851254)
That could be tickets for the Foo Fighters in the UK
Or tickets for the UK Foo Fighters.
If (for example) you didn't even know there was a tribute band, how would you know it was the latter? That's the whole point of the law I quoted - companies have to make it completely clear.0 -
I'm sorry but I honestly can't see how much clearer they could have made it. I've never bought a ticket for a show where the country the tour is in is before the band name the venue normally indicates where the show is not the band name. Also again a BIG indicator on this was the price of the tickets and the venues.
Their last show recently was WELL advertised in most national media and on their various media pages as being at the MK bowl to replace the show at the Wembley Stadium. Plus that show was weeks before the dates on the tickets on offer for the UK FF's so how you could not query going from a Stadium tour to a tiny venue in which ever city OP picked I don't knowFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Yes perhaps naive, however we all do things in the spur of the moment and at that time I don't believe I had the correct info' to lead me to believe it was a tribute band. It wasn't the only site I searched for 'Foo Fighters' & 'Glasgow' on Ticketweb. For my location there is no mention of tribute whereas a wider search of just 'Foo' shows more dates/locations and different titles.
I can't understand why you would omit that it was indeed a tribute act for that specific venue, why not at least be consistent so the consumer knew what they were buying?!
Again hard to explain without being able to post a link (remove space between ticket & web for site)

Really? You don't think they could have used the word 'tribute' anywhere on the page selling the tickets. Could you concede that would have made things much clearer?
It's very easy for you to claim there were indicators, when you've already had it spelled out that it's not the actual band. In any case, providing indicators is not sufficient. It needs to be made clear, that's the whole point of the law.0 -
I think a lot of people wouldn't even know what a tribute band is, much less that the Foo Fighters have one. Perhaps the name in itself is the misleading part - on concert sites especially as people might think it means uk concerts rather than tribute band.
Of course, it always comes down to whether the average person would be mislead by it or not.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
You mustn't forget that it was hard enough to get tickets to the FF original gig in the first place, so when they had to cancel it, people were worried about being able to get tickets to the replacement shows and missing out.
This advert is clearly misleading! No doubt aimed at panicking People!
Saying that, i was under the impression that those with tiickets were being given priority for the rescheduled gig, as all those I know with tickets got rescheduled gig tickets with no problems.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

We were, with several e-mails directly from the Foo Fighters' people telling you all the details, on sale dates & where to get tickets. If Murrayfield was anything to go by then there was a spare 15-20k tickets available.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
I clicked on one of the gigs at the site, eg. http://www.seetickets.com/event/uk-foo-fighters/o2-academy-newcastle/851906
The very first line below the banner and tabs says:
Music > Rock > Tribute Band > SONIC MOTORWAYS Tickets > Saturday, 03 Oct 2015
The band's name is clearly stated as UK Foo Fighters.
I don't think they've done anything wrong, and the mistake lies with the OP.
That said, I don't "get" the tribute band thing at all, though I once did see a Beatles lookalike band in a Disney park on holiday in Florida once, and they were quite good.0
