Any fan is going to know that FF will not be playing the venues listed and certainly not for such low prices. Any reasonable consumer would surely know they were buying tickets for a tribute act - do they really need to spell it out?

And what of people booking for fans who don't know? Why would you use the exact same logo? they are using two different logos.

The OP is a fan. Why would someone not book without doing *very* basic research? A reasonable person would do so.

I ask again..Why would the tribute band use two different logos?
Would that be to make things perfectly clear? Or something else?..
I agree the price should have been an indicator to some but it doesn't make it right.

Plenty of tribute bands use the same logos as the original band especially if they have the bands backing the clue is in the name really. Surely if you are booking tickets you look at all the information not just focus in on the logo

You'd need to ask the band that. If FF had any issue with the use of their signage (or indeed the name) they'd no doubt slap a lawsuit on them. As they haven't, we can assume they don't have an issue with it. Maybe/ hopefully they credit their fans with more intelligence?

"I'd "not need to ask the band that..
  • Why not go anyway, and enjoy the show :)

Yes, of course they need to spell it out. That's the law. The consumer protection from unfair trading regulations 2008 to be exact.
6.—(1) A commercial practice is a misleading omission if, in its factual context, taking account of the matters in paragraph (2)—
(a)the commercial practice omits material information,
(b)the commercial practice hides material information,
(c)the commercial practice provides material information in a manner which is unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely, or
(d)the commercial practice fails to identify its commercial intent, unless this is already apparent from the context,
and as a result it causes or is likely to cause the average consumer to take a transactional decision he would not have taken otherwise.

The information is unclear. OP is entitled to a full refund.
