But I ask again.
These people who lost the accounts, did you dial in every now and then?0 -
Please advise us what alteratives?
The best option would be to get your own domain name and pay for Email.
1&1 do it and it would cost less than £15 a year.

"Don't use ISP e-mail accounts, there are plenty of other alternatives available"
Please advise us what alteratives?
Have you heard of Google?
or get your own domain and have as many different e-mail accounts as you want. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

And yet I mentioned googlemail as an alternative in the very first response on this thread. Obviously they didn't even read this thread either."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks for the link, I decided to give them a ring and it seems if you dial in every now and then you will be OK.
This is what someone else got as a reply from your link:Thank you for your email.
We understand your concern.
If you don't connect to a Dial-up Pay As You Go account at least once
every 260 days, the account gets expired and will be deleted from our
system.
We advise you to re-register for a new pay as you go account and read
the PAYG terms and conditions which state that you must regularly dial
into your account to prevent it from expiring. (refer the clause 6.2 and
6.3 in your terms and conditions)
We as a web support team do not have sufficient access to the required
systems to proceed with your request. Hence, we advice you to call our
narrowband technical support team on 09062 517517 who'll be able to
help you .They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, calls are
charged at 50p per minute.
If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in
contact with us again.
Kind Regards,
Christina

Exactly as I said, ISPs can change their terms on a whim. It may be annoying and I may disagree with them doing it but I fully support their every right to do it. They're there to make money not support customers who've left them. With the ease of getting a hotmail or gmail account nowadays I don't know why so many people still use their ISP email address as their main one."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Reason I use it is because I change the part before the @ to make every one individual to the person I register/send it to.0

And of course with your own domain you can do that too. So there you have it, you now don't have a unique reason to stick with your ISP address."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
