I have a Freeserve email address that I was collecting emails from until 2 days ago and now needs to be reactivated as I hav'nt sent any emails from it for some time, because I use another ISP for my Broadband that won't alow it.
What I have done in the past is go online to www.freeserve.com which diverts to www.orange.com click on reactivate email account then put my details in except this time I got the message "
We didn't recognise your email address or password. Please try again.

Don't think there's anything you can do without Orange's help other than maybe try and connect to the freeserve/orange account through dialup and making it register that you're still using them as an ISP. I always advise getting an ISP independant address by getting your own domain and/or webmail such as googlemail. When it's an ISP's email address then I'm afraid you're completely at the mercy of that company as they own the address and can do what they want with it. Freeserve addresses especially are only still in existence through Orange's grace but they could easily cancel all of them without notice."She is quite the oddball. This procedure worked for me , but I guess you have already tried it.

Try sending orange an email message, worked for me.

I use freeserve as a spam trap.
To keep them active you need to dialup every 3 moths (I do it at the start of each month otherwise I'd forget).
Use you BB connection to clear your email and then dialup.
In your case, though, the account has been stopped. You need, as you say, to reativate. Try here0 -

Just a thought , you don't have to access the orange site via your dialup account , use your broadband connection to get there. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

The dial up suggestion (which is common for people wanting to retain old email addresses) is to ensure you're still keeping your account with your old ISP activated because it registers as you still using that ISP's service. This can't be done with broadband."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Not sure how that helps, the OP is trying to recover an email account. And even using that wouldn't prevent the OP losing the account again."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
