    my problem is that I don't want to lock in for 12 months. so the credit won't work.

    I could do with £x discount a month though.

    How did you manage to get £45 back?
    I only pay £19 monthly ( well for 6 months and then it goes to £24) and so a £3.45 hike is 18% increase. Prepared to phone them but not sure what to say (especially as Virgin is the fastest internet round where I live and my son would not be happy if I moved to Talktalk and his gaming got affected). I don't seem to be very good at these phone conversations at the best of times.
