  • Why haven't you sent a few boys round to knock on her door yet and have them politely ask her to stop doing this?

Am I nuts to think that our street vandal does indeed have connections with the police, thus stalling the investigation?
Yes, although it does sound like an awful service I think it's a bit early to start with the conspiracy theories. Just sounds like typical police not wanting to get involved in the day to day crimes they don't care about.

This doesnt add up to me

police shown evidence of a crime and dont talk to the suspect!!!

shame there are 3 people on this thread trying to be bigger than each other as on the face of it the OP has a serious issue to resolve

There may another side of the story. The alleged suspect in question may have mental health issues for example.

Thank you. I am getting desperate now. I wounder what the neighbourhood watch (of which the vandal is part of) will say should I contact them and inform them of the issue..

PS: The nearby newsagents owner asked me on what is going on on our street. I showed him the footage and he went on ranting about the suspect spreading rumours about the shop and him. Looks like there are a few other people suffering from her actions...

You are making this a personal vendetta? What use will this do? Circumstantial evidence and hear say.

Your car got a few scratches, it got repaired. Move on, there are worse things in life, like getting stabbed.

If you want to catch her, get a better camera or private investigator.

What do you mean personal vendetta?? How am I supposed to feel safe should there be people in the neighbourhood watch that are malicious. If my actions ignite an investigation into the type of people under the scheme, we may as well save a few lives from people who believe they have the power in their hands and feel invincible.

Read this /web.stanford.edu/dept/spec_coll/uarch/exhibits/Narration.pdf - in summary, if a person is given perceived power over another entity, then they will inevitably take the role of "God" and take unreasonable decisions to resolve unreasonable disputes.

What is more, this is an issue where someone destroys my property and causes damages in excess of thousands chipping from my assets value. I lost substantial value on the previous cars because she decided she wants to key someone.

Getting stabbed is probably a result of you being involved in crime yourself (to every rule, there is an exception) - rarely would you get stabbed out of the blue. Here, we have an unprovoked attack. See where I am coming from?

The Police took a written statement and have seen the evidence . The "Not arresting" the suspect last night would be correct procedure as the suspect is elderly and would be entitled to a period of rest . It would be deemed to be oppressive to interview late at night . There is no urgency (Although seizing the coat is highly important , but the suspect doesn't know about the video evidence and the need for the coat as evidence) and the officers are now aware of a possible racial motive . I suspect a positive result eventually ... It is unlikely that the woman has a connection with the Police or influencing their actions

Did the Police take the recording of her racial abuse or hear it ?

The police only heard the recording but did not ask me to submit it or burn it.
