Good luck for today and well done on the test!
Before I got my offer I think I was most excited about the gym they have in the office and the fact that my tube fare would be 35% less per month so I'm definitely not judging your research! Mortgage Oct '20: £615k Mortgage Oct '20: £615k

Good luck :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort Mortgage Balance = £0 Mortgage Balance = £0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0

Well, I think! Chatted with the team for 2 hours and everyone seems nice/sane, no red flags. I was waiting to post because I was hoping to get an actual offer on Friday, but that hasn't come through yet. Recruiter said the feedback was all positive so I think an offer is forthcoming, anyway. Recruiter wanted me to name a number that I'd accept immediately, but I (again) reiterated that I'd need to see the offer in full (though I doubt it will be anything besides salary as it's a start-up). Still have the other interview on Wednesday as well, so fingers crossed that goes well. 0 Recruiter wanted me to name a number that I'd accept immediately, but I (again) reiterated that I'd need to see the offer in full (though I doubt it will be anything besides salary as it's a start-up). Finally a financial update - up £83.82 so far on MB, not including another £50ish that needs more betting to unlock. Have sent £20.61 of that to the mortgage, current balance is £149,631.68. Have sent £20.61 of that to the mortgage, current balance is £149,631.68.
Finally ventured into the [strike]garden[/strike] jungle today for a couple of hours. Trimmed back loads of brambles and it's looking cleaner, if not any more tame. Will try and mow the lawn at some point, right now it's a bit buried under all the things we tore up. Hoping a few more weekends will have us ready to put a fence in (though I'm not sure when that'll happen!). Quiet/frugal week ahead - skipped our regular shops this week and will eat out of the pantry (will pick up a bit of veg to supplement). Meeting up with friends on Friday for dinner, then off to Rome at the weekend! :j0

 HMRC has sent me a letter telling me that I'm still not yet paid up on 2014-5 tax! I got a letter about this time last year and have been paying ~£100/mo extra in tax to make up for it. Now apparently I still owe £1,400ish?! I'm not sure how my old company told HMRC that my private medical insurance was a £150 benefit when it was actually a £750 benefit, but nice of them (or HMRC) to not bother to do anything about it for a year... Will phone tomorrow just to make sure that the overpayments I've been making haven't already taken care of this.
On the plus side with taxes, I got a letter stating that I owe a £100 fine for not filing a self-assessment return in January...which I didn't do as I don't meet any requirements. Only took a 5 minute phone call with HMRC the other day to clear that up.
Still no word on the job offer, expect to hear tomorrow. In the meantime I have a phone interview for another position tomorrow, and will be put forward for a fourth. Nice to have options!0

Still haven't had a chance to follow-up with HMRC, this week's been manic with job hunting. Did get their letter confirming that the £100 fine is no longer relevant, so at least there's that.
Four interviews (and follow-ups) done. One I was pretty meh on, particularly as they kept me waiting for 30 minutes because they thought the meeting was at 5pm rather than 4:30 - fair enough, but reception had phoned down to say I was there, so the least they could have done was send up a message saying to relax for half-hour! At any rate, that one's out.
Of the other three, I think they all have promise. I still need to finish a coding exercise for the non-profit, but am leaning towards another position at the moment. I've liked everyone I've met there, and the project sounds cool. Plus that 45% discount on underground fare will make me a millionaire...in about 209 years. :rotfl:
Meeting up with friends for dinner tomorrow, then off on holiday on Saturday. Happy long weekend everyone!0
