How Far Can You Get On £20 of Petrol/Diesel?

At current prices, how many miles are you getting for £20 fill up from empty?

I got about 130 miles out of £20 which I put in a week past Thursday before refilling again from empty.

2001 1.6 Megane.

    Not sure on the relevance of the question as £20 can buy varying amounts of fuel.
    Ordinarily you would expect 28mpg plus during peak time driving alone.
    On top of do people really put in less than 4 gallons from empty?
  • Last 2 tankfuls have averaged 48 mpg. With the 2 different ppl prices, £20 would have been 192 miles and 197 miles.

    2008 1.6 diesel Cee'd.
  • 80 - 90 miles for me. Average 24 MPG in one and 19 in the other.

    4.0 Jag XK8 and 4.0 Jag XJR.
  • Mondeo Diesel, between 152 and 228 miles. depending on all city
    driving or on a run.

    I'm averaging 51.3mpg (5.56l/100 km) in my Golf GT 2.0l TDi 140PS Bluemotion.

    At 109.9p per litre then £20 would get me 18.2 litres = 4 gallons. So £20 would get me about 205 miles.
  • My 63 plate 208 gets 65.6mpg - we pay 110.9/litre here so 3.96 gallons --> 260 miles

    That car replaced a much older petrol car doing 31mpg. The fuel saving alone covers 75% of the cost of the lease.

    £30 gets me about 450 miles, which is 69MPG.
  • 230 approx.
    Petrol £1.05/l £20=4.18gall@55mpg=230
