Just £3.90 spent from GC budget in Mr T today when I went to get the stocking filler chocs for the kids and m'chap (also a big kid!):D. They come from a separate budget. Used Boots points to get liquid soap and shampoo, so just spent a bit from the toiletries budget for face wash for DS. Am SO close to finishing the presents now - wanted to get one of the Cineworld gift boxes for my bestie and her hub but they have sold out in the cinema and the page has vanished from the website. :mad:You can only get the "e-gift" now, which basically consists of an e-mail with some codes to use. It doesn't look nearly as nice, so I'm going to have to put my thinking cap on, and here's a challenge for you.... Does anyone have any ideas what nibbles might go nicely with prosecco, which is my Plan B? I've got a pretty gift bag the size of a double bottle bag (if that makes sense), so I'm thinking what I can put alongside it, up to the value of about £10.

Been away with work all week and neither DH or I have spent a penny from the food budget :j

We are at an event tonight and away for the weekend and any food purchased comes from a different budget and I will not be doing a food shop until Monday.

Total stands at £81.48 but I think there is a receipt for marks missing which will put me nearer £90 which will leave me £225 to the end of the year. We have plenty of meat in and as long as we don't go mad on the Christmas goodies we should manage with that. (Famous last words;):o)
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

If I thought I could buy it and keep it uneaten.... :rotfl:I need to find a "bourbon biscuit" version of cheese that will repel me sufficiently that I can leave it alone. I hate bourbon biscuits, so I can buy them for the kids and know they're safe. Not found a cheese yet...

Maybe you could buy some different cheeses and wrap them as soon as you get home and then put in fridge. Kind of 'out of sight, out of mind' ?? :rotfl:

I've given up biscuits - no sugar wherever/whenever possible since September :j

Another NSD here - so 9 GC NSDs this month so far. Must go shopping the morrow as running low on some things.

Hope you all have a super Saturday

  • Just checking in to say hi, I'm a long time lurker and sometime poster. But as usual, I'll be back in January out of hiding. Been on annual leave from work this week and what a difference it makes having time to cook. But, enough of the excuses!!

And I'll be back on the diet wagon come January too so that's always a challenge. Been using my time to reacquaint myself with the original Jack Monroe cookbook, which is ideal for me. Mostly veggie, cheap & cheerful and low fat by accident.

Looking forward to motivation on here and I just love reading about everyone elses bargains!
My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

Spending now up to £84.03 Brought a huge cauliflower for 39p from local green grocers and some very tasty tomatoes, last lot of toms from A!di were horrible. Have got all the meat and frozen items for Christmas now and really just need a few things like fruit & veg to finish off and a couple of bottles of wine. Also got most of the presents and of those still to buy I know what they will be except one so almost done.
Hope that everyone is well in hand with what they are buying.

Will take a bag or two to the food bank next week with some treats included for those in need over Christmas.
