A small top up shop of £6.92 giving me a total of £114.47/£250. Should have a decent amount to go towards next month's holiday spends. Today will be another NSD. Will update signature now.

  • I've totally lost track of where I'm at this month. I should probably bow out but I'll keep plodding along. Think I spend around £50 last week so will add that and try to be careful for the rest of the month before I well and truly blow it.

Have done quite a bit of spending over the past week or so, some of it unplanned :o

    Here goes:
    - 78p on YS bread at Sainsbos (went in the freezer)
    - 88p on fruit at Co-op (went straight into me :D)
    - £16.22 at Lidl on Sat (that includes over £10 on crisps for entertaining next month, which I also share with famiily and friends).
    - £7.80 on a supermarket deli lunch for a friend that was unwell at the weekend

....a sum of £25.68. That makes my total so far £63.92/£70. Am dangling perilously close to the edge, but on the plus side have a fridge and freezer full of food. Can I make it to next Tuesday?

If the fridge and freezer are full, I reckon you can! :T
NSD today! I have £6.56 left, and on a ferret through my freezer, I found enough hash browns for Saturday breakfast so I won't need to buy any from this month's budget.:jThat means I just need to get mushrooms and a tomato (just the one!), so should have enough for a cheeky bottle of red while still staying within the £200. I'll be so chuffed if I can do it! I've actually hidden the hash browns at the back of the freezer under the meat, so my vegetarian DS/food hoover will focus on other frozen potato products that I have more stock of. Shhhh!!!!:rotfl:I'm going to leave my December budget at £300 for Christmas food and drink (I'm hosting), but January will start a gradual reduction of around £20 per month to get it as low as I can.

Went to MR T for some mushy peas for tea, chopped toms for all the batch cooking I am doing and some RTC (still in date) fun size fudge fell into my basket. Love these and the mini ones are not too many calories :D

Total now at £329.70. I should be under budget but need to come up with a good plan to bring this down significantly over the next few months as we save up to move house.

    Evening all :hello:

I don't know if it will help but I've noticed that quite a few people lose or forget receipts.

I always put them in my purse when I pay and then, once I've scanned them, put them under my laptop mouse to enter on here. Then they go on a big paperclip in the desk drawer for end of the month accounts. It gets to be a habit after a time :D

Tesco delivery today was £26.01. I bulked it out with some 'C' drinks to make it up to £60 so I got £9 off with voucher, £2.50 with offers and a brand match of 44p :money:

That leaves me with a bit over £30 for the weekend for weeklies such as milk, bread, fruit and veg. Should make it fingers xd

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

    NSD today :)

I have spent the last 2.5 hours making a big batch of veggie chilli, a chicken curry and some chorizo pasta sauce. All SW friendly and, apart from 2 tinned toms bought yesterday and a bag of alddee peppers bough in last weeks shop I used everything from stores.

I am often away overnight with work and we were using the SW meals from Iceland for DH to have as lunches and dinners when I was away and to keep him on plan as he doesn't cook.

Today's meals plus the bolognaise I made earlier in the week have made 20 portions and would have cost us £60 in Iceland!

I've somehow got to squeeze them into the freezer now  as have pasta bake from a jar with leftover gammon for tea as fuelling up for a long run tomorrow as I am still on hols this week.
