Week 1, spent more than I planned! £35.62 in Aldi, £6.15 over two trips to Asda this week for fruit and £2.15 at my Weight Watchers meeting for a total of £43.92. I plan to do an Ocado order this week and I've been making and freezing meals for the weeks ahead. With this week's shop I'll be making more and filling the freezer so I won't be spending too much towards the end of the month!

More of a lurker these days than a poster, but I've come out of hiding to mention a bargain I found in Sainsbugs:

Sacla Limited Edition Kale & Smoked Ricotta Pesto, a mere 20p a jar. And they had loads. I found it on a reduced end.

Haven't tried it yet, but at 20p, if I don't like it, it's not a big deal.

    Grocery Challenge

    Feb 2016 - £46.73 / £100.00
  • Late to the party! I was just over target last month, which was £27 per week, though I can put that down to one trip to a larger supermarket than usual and I was tempted by too many shiny things! No plans for another visit this month, so I'll stick with my target of £27 per week. Four Saturdays in November, so my target is £108.00.

The first shop yesterday came in at £24.12, so that's a good start.
    Debt tracker ~ June 2015: £9,577.83 ~ January 2016: £7,913.22 ~ 17.38% debt paid!
    2016 debt target ~ clear the loan ~ start: £3,082.04 ~ January 2016: £2,927.15
    Declutter ~ 2016 items in 2016 ~ 271/2016.

    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening everyone

DH was an angel and volunteered to do the shop (with a list) as the weather was so foul.

    So A*di = £ 17.90 and Morrys = £2. Total added to signature was £19.90.

My new freezer should arrive the morrow so I'll then have to do an order for Mr T and try to get to the frozen shop and F F**ds at the weekend. All monies I really didn't want to spend eh

On another note I made a Beef Bourguignon in the slow cooker and had some for dinner, with buttery mash, steamed cabbage and peas. It was lovely and plenty left. I've put it in the fridge to (hopefully) freeze the morrow.

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

So I've done a pretty massive online shop at sainos and had a few other bits and pieces and my total comes to £168.46. This does include catfood and litter for the whole month.

The thing about getting it online is the lack of ys items :(. Also I ended up with a short dated (that day) quiche which I wouldn't have expected to pay the full price on usually. But getting it online saved me from lugging all the catfood home so swings and roundabouts!
    Mortgage and debt free :)
  • Some YS spends yesterday, total of £2.98p.

Hopefully a few NSDs this week.

Popped into little Asda for a re-stock of ales for times of crisis, catfood, and things for lunches.

As it was little ASDA, not much choice, nothing smart price, and we were too early for YS bargains.

So £21.36 spend, and will need to reign it in a bit now.
    Keep reading books!
    July grocery challenge START: £150.
    total SPENT £127.53, REMAINING £22.37.
  • Happy Monday everyone.

Bit of a dent to budget but apart from milk and fruit n veg I shouldn't need much next week. And last week of month will be sone leftovers and bits n bobs out the freezer! Total at 194.17 now x
