  • Hey Mrs S, fab house and great that you can upsize without a significant increase in your mortgage payments. Brilliant. I look forward to the day we too can do the same. Good luck hunny bunny. GF, BTW battleship grey sounds good ;)

Well, yes, it's a great colour for a battleship! ;)

Hi GF, how are you hun? Haven't seen you around much. Are you still going to the meet? Wish I could come.

Well, the initial excitement of finding an affordable house we loved has worn off a bit now, and we are having a good look at the practical side of things to make sure we are happy with everything before we go ahead. I WAS going to put an offer in immediately, but we are now going to wait a few days until we have spoken to a couple of estate agents to make sure we can get what we want for our house.

Almost there with the cleaning and tidying - a friend came over this morning which set me back a bit, but at least it was for a nice reason not a crappy one. Just need to move a bit of clutter from the walk-in wardrobe and the 'monster cupboard' (the cupboard under the stairs, home of Mr Gurgles, the monster who roams the central heating system making all manner of strange noises....good friend of the sock monster who lives under Ryan's bed and eats his socks..... :o ). We could just shut the doors, but they are quite handy features of the house (as they are both quite big), so I want the estate agent to know they are there, lol.

Bit worried about Natasha, she woke up from her nap this morning and started shaking. Not sure if she was just cold (didn't look like shivering though), or woke up scared because there were unfamiliar people in the house, but my friend, who saw it happen, said she thought she was going to have a fit (her daughter has fits, so she wasn't just being a scare-monger, she was genuinely concerned). She seems fine now, so I will just keep a close eye on her.

The weather is just plain weird here today - hope everyone is having a nice day and managing to stay dry.

  • Hey up. I'm fine, got a day off work today and our plans to feed the ducks earlier were scuppered by rain, but we are gonna try again shortly. I am still going to the meet ;) and looking on the meet thread interest seems to have cooled but I am hopeful to meet a few bods down there; bit nervous as well actually. I am setting off from Glasgow at 6AM Sat morning, checking into a B+B (via Pigsback), then heading off to the pub. I think that Gingerste, PAP and Sarah Needle are defos. Keren is a maybe and hopefully I-A (our resident [strike]!!!!!![/strike] film star has got the time off work). Big shame you cant go but there;s always the camper van in the summer:D

You will still have fun even if not many people go GF - it's still a nice day out and a trip to the pub after all! :D

Aww, thanks. I'm not quite sure....today was the day they told me they were going into school for a meeting to clarify the reports they have written on Ryan. As they are the last 'bit' of the diagnostic process, I assumed they would make a decision, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up that I will hear from them today.

Although when I spoke to Ryan's teacher on Friday, he wasn't aware that CAMHS were going into school today (he also mentioned that when they went into school to do the observation, Ryan didn't display any of the behaviour they/we are concerned about.....typical). So who knows what's going on. I am going to wait until Thursday/Friday and if I haven't heard from them I will ring them.

Feeling a bit jittery though. :o
