Good suggestion GF - I can't at the moment because she doesn't know I've talked to anyone about it, and I don't want to cause her any upset, but I think in time she would like to read it, and see how kind complete strangers can be."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Arrgghhh, I have been a bit silly today. I have made a perfectly nice travel hamper for my Mum and Dad, but this morning I suddenly got it into my head that it was rubbish, and went out and bought them something else too, spending another £30. Why do I do these things???
It's not really a problem as Stu has said if I need to buy anything for Xmas to just put it on the credit card and he will clear it from the money he has got for overtime (there has been a lot of overtime available as they are so busy just before Xmas), but still....
Actually, is it odd that I don't like taking money from him? For the last 10 years I have earned more than him, so have paid for more, and currently I am waiting for MY shares to increase in value so that I can pay off the loan for HIS car, and I don't begrudge any of that because I feel as though my money is his money. But yet I feel uncomfortable when it's the other way round for a change. Weird.
(Not sure that sentence made sense, and I haven't even started on the Xmas 'spirit' yet...:D)
Anyway, I think we are almost there now - just a little bit more cleaning and tidying to do, but will get most of it done today, so that tomorrow we can relax a bit once Stu gets home from work.
Don't forget to defrost your turkeys everyone!!! (thanks Lucy)

Because you're surrounded by adverts which gradually chip away at your confidence "Home made things are shiite. *Buy* stuff. Stuff that's made by highly-trained and qualified child slave-labourers in a sweatshop in the far-east using materials with dubious safety records that get recalled all the time. That's a REAL Christmas..."Actually, is it odd that I don't like taking money from him? Difficulty in adapting. You obviously have emotional capital invested in your role as "provider".(Not sure that sentence made sense, and I haven't even started on the Xmas 'spirit' yet...:D)
