Hurray - not only did I wash the carpet, I cleaned the oven (which is on tomorrow's list :T) and cleaned the fridge (inside and out) too!

We have only just had dinner and are now collapsing on the sofa with a glass of wine - still got some wrapping to do tonight but it shouldn't take too long, I hope.

Right, 2008 is the year I am going to become debt free. Ohhhh yes it is!!!

So the time has come to add my (Hypno-stylee) no holds barred debt total to my sig, and start hammering it down.

The £8357 is made up of our car loan £4300, secured loan £4000 (this is part of our mortgage, and was for home improvements, but it HAS to go, so I'm counting it!), and the rest is a couple of Xmas presents I have had to put on the credit card, which hopefully I will be able to clear when the statement comes in.

I still haven't sold my shares, and am hoping the share price will pick up soon, so that I can clear the car loan. And I am hoping that having the total figure in my sig will scare me into doing something about the rest.

Let battle commence!

Well done hon for biting the bullet ,so to speak, with your debt plan. Well done also on all the jobs you managed today - puts me to shame. Why does everything take twice as long as you think ? Well it does for me anyway. Night night.

Thanks Ellidee - I've sort of mentioned the debt before, but just never had it so 'in your face' so to speak. But I'm hoping it will spur me on to have it right there.

The jobs have really tired me out - my glass is empty and I can't even be bothered to go to the fridge for a refill!

Snaggles i was just lurking on your diary, im so sorry about your sisters treatment, i know what a difficult time she must be having. i also know how hard it must be for you and your family knowing what to say. I know a really good website that has advice and support for people with fertility treatment and trying to get pregnant. ive found it a real life saver in my treatment. If you want the address just let me know.

Thank you lunar, that is so kind of you. Yes please, if you could let me have the address, I can tell her. She's finding it very difficult to talk to anyone just yet (it's early days yet though), so being able to look online might help her. I hope you are holding up okay. xxx
