Hi Snaggles - sorry to hear the school haven't given them the responses they need - grrr. But good that you've actually heard something now and that it's a place ot start from.

April is still ages away :) What hours are you wanting? Same as before?

Am so glad that you have heard something at last. Not completely satisfactory I know but at least it looks as though you will eventually get the diagnosis you expect. Nobody who 'knows you' on here would ever in a million years consider the idea that it could be 'bad parenting'.
Hope you get the hours you want to go back to work hun. I suppose weaning Tash will have to be a priority soon ? XX

    Did someone call?
    Snaggles wrote: »
Right, I have had 'the call'. Basically they STILL haven't managed to get Ryan's school to provide them with the information they need, and they do need it before confirming the diagnosis (I am soooo going into school tomorrow morning.....in my studded leathers....).

Oh dear...someone is going to get a new one ripped for themself tomorrow morning...

I now have to wait another week  but at least I now know they do see what we see in Ryan, and they are not just going to put it down to bad parenting, which is my absolute worst fear.

It's only 2 months - I go back straight after Easter. But I suppose if I WAS at work, and took a 2 month holiday, it would seem like a huge amount of time! Feel like I have forgotten everything though. :o

I'm wanting different hours, because leaving Ryan with a childminder during school holidays isn't really an option now he's getting older (he's too difficult to handle if his usual routine is disrupted), and we don't have any family that can help. So I have asked for 2 evenings (hopefully Monday and Tuesday), 6pm - 11pm, and Saturday 9am - 3pm (16 hours in total). I'm hoping that because I'm offering to do 100% 'unsociable hours', they will give me the exact hours I want, but we will see.

I'm trying to wean her but she's not having any of it - little madam! :rotfl:

She wont drink expressed milk, formula or even full fat cows milk. She WAS starting to drink a bit of milk from a cup, but is refusing again now. It doesn't matter so much really, as I will only miss four feeds per week, so she wont starve, and she eats pretty much anything you put in front of her, so she wont be lacking in anything. She will drink water or juice from a cup too, so she wont become dehydrated.

Stu will hopefully either be able to persuade her to have a bit of milk from a cup, or she will just have to have some water. She settles quite easily, and hasn't ever needed 'feeding to sleep', which is one good thing.

Not too worried really but goodness I will miss her (and Ryan of course, but I'm used to being apart from him a bit).

Thanks - you do start to doubt yourself though when they interrogate every aspect of your parenting.
