to be honest I feel a bit weird with this DFW thing as I haven't yet had my lightbulb moment. However, I think it's lovely how much support people can get from total strangers. I love chatting though. I can talk the hind leg off a donkey!! Just not too good at typing. Would much rather talk face to face to be honest, so I tend to take a bit of a back seat and watch and then jumo in with whatever it is i have to say!

    Hurray, it's Friday!

Well, the Post Office insurance has been tracked and validated on Quidco, so I have £79.25 in Quidco now, plus £80 in Top Cash Back....and £7.75 in Pigsback, although Pigsback clicks have suddenly dropped from 10p to 5p, so once I get to £10 and get my voucher from them, I don't think I will bother with it any more.

Not too bad for a fortnights work!

PS Is anyone watching GMTV? How much eyeliner is Ross King wearing?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Evening!!

We've had to do a last minute dash for some school things for Ryan today, because he's growing so fast. It wasn't too bad though, because we got him 2 pairs of PE shorts, a pair of tracksuit bottoms, a pair of school trousers, 2 PE t-shirts, socks and underpants for less than £20.

Natasha is learning to roll over, bless her - she gets so angry because she can't quite make it. She's been glaring at me and shouting her head off - I think she thinks it's my fault!!! :D

    She's so nearly there though:

Woohoo, Stu has a job!! It's only temporary, until January, but it's something at least, and he will keep looking out for something permanent at the same time. Apparently he's a really good parcel deliverer :D, as the agency have told him the company he's working for are singing his praises all the time!

They have told him he will have to work on Saturdays, which is a bit of a pain, but we drove past the depot at 12.30pm last Saturday, and everyone had finished and gone home, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Ryan goes back to school tomorrow (well, today, technically, as it's now 12.30am). I'll miss having him at home so much - it will be too quiet with just me and Natasha here!

  • Hi Snaggles
    Congrats on Stus job:T :T
You never know it might turn into something more permanent before the end of his contract.

Thanks SM! Unfortunately it's unlikely to become permanent, because the reason they need more staff now is to cover the increase in parcels in the run up to Xmas. But at least it means we have some money coming in, and he can now take his time and look for something that will really suit him.

To be honest, him working Saturdays would be a major problem when I go back to work anyway, because I work Saturdays, and there's no-one who could look after the kids. But that's not till January, so plenty of time for him to find a job that is hopefully weekdays only.

  • Oh well,at least it gives you breathing space whilst he finds the right thing:D
It's really hard when you have to work in childcare too, hope you find something that suits you both soon.
