Shed specialist..... :rotfl:
He said it would take half an hour to put up......it took FIVE days!!!!
He's working again today (3rd day running), and on the basis that he was paid in lieu until the end of August, so any money he earns before the 1st September is a bonus, he has now earned enough to cover his satnav. :T
We called at the White Rose Centre the other day, and he dragged me over to Beaverbrooks to look at eternity rings because he said I deserved something nice for being brave when Natasha was born (lol!) and standing by him through thick and thin over the 8 years we've been married. :smileyhea
But I gently persuaded him not to buy me one, because they are sooo expensive, and the money could be put to much better use (have I been DFW for too long??). In the end, we compromised - he took me to Next and bought me some lovely underwear for my birthday instead!

How lovely is he and how good are you, my dh wouldn't even think about an eternity ring and we've been married nearly 24 years (surely thats an eternity - lol)! Loving the bag - I want one too - my birthday is October - any chance?????
The shed looks lovely and very clean!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
Snaggles, eternity rings dont have to be expensive hun. it's the thought that counts, not the size of the rocks
Mine was under £30 - it's gold with amethysts and pink garnets (pink and purple are my fave colours) and I LOVE it.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

IDA - definitely time for dropping some serious hints!
I promise you can have a picture of a lovely designer handbag for your birthday too!!
Spud - to be honest, I would be more than happy with a £30 ring, in fact at least then I wouldn't be terrified of losing it or damaging it. Yours sounds lovely! The ones in Beaverbrooks started from about £300 though...and I saw quite a few that were £3k+
I've told him that in 2 years we will be debt free (hopefully) and will have been married 10 years, so that would maybe be a nice time for an eternity ring.....I didn't want to hurt his feelings by saying 'you can't afford it, we need that money for something else'!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Snaggles - I got mine off QVC and couldnt love it any more if it had cost £3000. At least I can wear it and not get scared of losing it etc.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
