if anyone is still in need of marks knickers there is another 20% off this morning.

so you can try to do yesterdays order again - not sure if you can cancel yesterdays order, might be able to if its one you are not collecting for a while.

or I think if you don't collect it then it just goes back to the warehouse and your money is refunded... I think

it depends on how posh you want to go.

a good place to start is here

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/cheap-restaurant-deals

also deal zippy - put your postcode in the box and you get a map of what deals are local - groupon and living social and don't forget to go via Topcashback

    http://www.dealzippy.co.uk/

but watch for restrictions like no Friday or Saturdays.

but its well worth signing up for all of the chains and looking out for the opening of new resturants close to you.

Our eldest reminded us at the weekend that for her 18th we went to an all you can eat Chinese locally - well at the time it was very posh to us, there was no chain eateries around here and our two lads could eat their own body weight :D

If there are a huge crowd of you it might be worth doing what we did once - we had a chef in to cook a posh meal in our own home - we brought the wine, he brought posh china, all the ingredients and did all of the cooking and clearing up - its was only about £10 per person at the time - probably about £20 to £30 now :(

if you sign up to Bella italia on their latest newsletter there is a buy one main get another for £1 so that might be about £12 for 2 mains - drinks are very expensive though.

if you have an All Bar One close to you then sign up to their list. On their latest email update
"Our special menu sampling evenings are on Wednesday 7th and Wednesday 14th October, and you and your friends can enjoy a two-course menu with a glass of Prosecco for just £10" .

Toby carvery is another good one to sign up for 2 courses for £6.50 - good for big family groups.

buy one get one free - nice menu

    its a start

Wow thanks for the info Mhoc. That's fab xx

    :)

Early wheezing start as had to be at Drs for 8.30am. Took me 30 mins to walk what would normally be 10 mins :o:o

Showed Dr my knicker line irritating skin tag :o:o I now have cream to shrink it & then she will freeze it off :)

Dr was more interested in my wheezing  I kept saying it's only a cold :)

    :o

Couldn't manage the walk up hill home so hung around for the bus.

Went into our Red Cross Outlet - which has 100s of size Large Fruit Of The loom grey sweatshirts (all new) £1 each :)

Anyway I kept noticing on some item tickets that they stated 'Refugee' on them ...
    Had to ask...
It seems all the clothes donated to the refugees are being sold & they are to have the money instead....
Things like toiletries are being sent to them....

Now people had gone to the effort of purchasing new garments for these people - lots of baby clothes.

I still out on if I think this is correct..

I have to source crockery for my DNs birthday. Shame she doesn't need hair straighteners, DAB radio, Emma Bridgewater mugs, Electric blanket, perfume, Body Shop gift set.

    I maybe some time :)

also don't forget to check Tesco deals - it means you have to use main menus instead of the specials but that suits some people and anyway it will give you some ideas.

when we have had big family meals it has been Pizza Express outtings and I used to take £100 in PE Tesco deals - but that was in the days of easy points collecting - could not do this now as this would be more points than I would collect in 18 months :)

you can also use gift cards to pay if you have used a discount voucher eg in Bella Italia, Strada, Prezzo - Morrisons give you fuel save for every £10 of gift cards and they have them for all of the usual places.

Pizza Express - also worth joining their emailing list, Wednesday is their best discount day

You can get a 3 month trial membership for the Gourmet society for £1 - you can put the app on your phone. Usually its for sets of 2 or 4s so you might need separate bills if there are lots of you. Mostly its 25% or 50% off or BOGOF but what you do is put your postcode in and your distance and it gives you a list of everywhere local - chains and local eateries and the restrictions

    https://www.groupon.co.uk/discount-codes/shops/gourmetsociety.co.uk

you can try it online before you join but it wont give you the restrictions

    Morning all :hello:

Is it just me who always forgets shopping bags until I'm at the store :o

Handy tip: always buy something you don't want, then when you return it, you have remembered your bag
