I think any surgery needs a great deal of convalescence afterwards....my friend had a knee replaced and its now 10 weeks since the op and she is just about to return to work.

Surgery does take it out of you and whilst gentle exercise is often encouraged you cant simply slip back into normal life that easily after some procedures.

Does anyone know how you get a PP from an online shop? Are they printed at the till to be able to spend in-store or are they e-vouchers like the Asda apgs from an online shop. TIA.

They send an email and you can use instore or online. One of the few areas in which they are better than Asda.

From an article on MSE today - changes from December 1st

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/broadband/2015/10/sky-unveils-broadband-and-home-phone-price-hikes-but-you-can-beat-them?post_id=820544064661585_885728614809796#_=_

so it looks like line rental will go up by £1 which is inevitable but looking at my package online I still seem to be on the discounted £10 a month rate which I negotiated.

some of the others you can pay for annual upfront line rental but sky stopped that some years ago now but I am still paying the equivalent of the old rate.

the worst bit is the changes in the call packages which will now be- cost £0/mth, £4/mth, £8/mth and £12/mth depending on what calls are included. They all include calls to landlines and mobiles, o800 and 0845 numbers

The free weekend and evenings calls package, ideal for those out all day which was free will now be £4 instead of being free.
the anytime calls package which was £5 will now be £8 - it now includes calls to mobiles - I dont call mobiles or make international calls so an additional £3 for no additional benefits.

or you can pay £12 a month if you need unlimited international calls as well

or nothing if you want to go pay as you go which looking at my call patterns will our option - last month I only made 5 landline calls.

I had the anytime package always because of being able to stay in touch with my Dad anytime and being able to sort things like appointments and finance out for him, sadly gone 2 years now and also being the families social secretary, also a redundant roll

mostly I text or call via wi fi via the ipad - something I need to get to grips with more.

our mobile phone contracts are linked and OH deals with them - its his only bill that he deals with but I suppose I will need to try and get onto the EE page which usually sends me into a catatonic rage :D
so I can figure out exactly how many texts and call minutes I have - I think its unlimited text and a 500 minutes - 1000 between us so that's plenty

I have been to T this morning...and it was all very civilized re the bags...my only gripe is that they have now stopped the green points for bringing your own bags....cheeky monkeys!

But for shoppers living outside England we haven't been able to collect green points since the bag charges were introduced :( so think yourself lucky you've able to collect green points for so long ;)

My Shaw bags arrived, think I may have gone overboard, :p but they won't go wrong and I will be gifting some.
Even the 'small' bags are pretty large and the handles are nice and thick. Could have done with them last week as would have given them away as part of the gifts to our volunteers at the fundraising event I was helping to organise.

I do think myself lucky...my comments were not meant to upset either the Welsh or the Scots...I think I was more surprised that the points removal hadn't been advertised or displayed in store etc and as such I wasn't expecting it.

I agree it should have been advertised that green points are no longer available. It still shows green points on the receipt, even though it's still zero :( although I wonder if it'll be removed now England is in line with Scotland and Wales and charging for bags.
TBH I don't see why there's been reports of people throwing tantrums about the charges and leaving their trolly full. It's been widely reported so no one should be surprised about the charges now. :p
Aldi and Lidl have always charged for bags too, so nothing has changed for those shoppers.
You quickly learn to keep bags in your car and I have a small fold away bag in my handbag.

Ive been using my own bags for years so there is no real difference to how I stack my shopping.....The SS tills this morning in T had a different voice to them and a slightly different screen regarding bags...it asked how many you had used ie of the chargeable ones and now doesnt give the option to input the number of your own bags used....

My 35 green club card points this quarter will probably be my last.
