Ive also been reading that T is to stop selling Carlsberg lager in all but 200 of their stores in an effort to streamline the products they sell apparently.

The article says the beer is the latest to be removed following the removal of Ribena which I had heard about and Kingsmill, which I didnt know they were not selling...I guess it just goes to show that I'm not particularly brand loyal ....I really do tend to shop for the offers rather than the brand nowadays and actually there really are nicer breads than kingsmill around.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

The only thing I am brand loyal for is Bisto powder, everything else is generic or on offer.

    Good morning all :)

I see the carrier bag charge is being talked about its been policy in wales for ages.

Don't forget your carrier bag when you go to the drive through restaurant for burger or chicken as they charge for the paper bags :(

How the hell they expect to serve your order without a bag is beyond me what a con

That's just stupid, paper bags break down easily or can be recycled.

And the burger boxes don't spill open easily do they... Yet they will give you a bag in a supermarket if you buy a sealed chicken or the like!

"There will not be a charge for paper bags or bags from shops in airports or on trains, aircraft or ships.
Customers will not need to pay if the bag only contains certain items such as unwrapped food, raw meat and fish where there is a food safety risk, prescription medicines, uncovered blades, seeds, bulbs and flowers or live fish."

I think the "paper bag" thing is different in Wales and possibly Scotland....they do pay but in England there isn't a charge...

Maybe in England that's true but up here if food comes packaged it doesn't get a free bag.

Thanks to OP WIRS and Nellie for letting us know they are back in stock my Shaws bags arrived today. :T

I like they have that thin plastic type lining unlike some of the As bags I have. Mr TS transports coffee machine for work and used one of those once and I ended up with a coffee spillage as it had leaked through the bag.

I think I ordered a few too many hope Dodo never got around to doing an order. :rotfl:
