Morning all. I have a muggle c&c shop to pick up this evening, so am just going to put a pile of bags in the car boot. Not looking forward to transferring everything into them though, all that bending down will play havoc with my back.
Grey and dampish here at the moment. Has the summer finally gone?

I'm so annoyed with myself. You can't smell anything in the kitchen as the oven is so well insulated and you shouldn't really cook a lot on the hob either. You start things off on the hob and finish them in the oven.

Out of sight out of mind:o

If I put something on that I am likely to forget I always set up a timer. Makes me jump out of my skin when it goes off

As for bags, I have a large number of hessian and canvas bags, and I have been collecting a few extra plastic bags each time I went shopping for about a year now, I seriously do not think I will need to buy bags, I always walk out of the door with my John Lewis penguin bag and that has another bag in it, mainly because I am mostly going to Lidl or Aldi, so I have got into the habit of having my own bags. The plastic bags are mainly for the small bins we have and they do not get emptied until they are well full.

Good morning everyone. It is vile out there today.

Why is it, when you change the bedding and I have put the winter duvets on all beds, one of the children decide to be ill in the night and be sick all over the duvet, and it would have to be the heavier one, to try and wash

Thanks to all who commented on my post yesterday. Not able to thank individually as my thanks button seems to have gone awol:eek:
Quite relieved when DS1 brought my car back last night. He had borrowed it for a weekend trip to Cornwall and Devon to see his fiancee's grandparents. His car is a beaten up old Corsa, fine for local trips, but wouldn't trust it for long distance.
He has just finished his degree and had applied for another job paying 10 grand a year more, got the job, told his present company who matched it so he would stay with them.:j It's ideal for him as he can walk to work, so no travel costs. So pleased for him, and it gave us some direly needed good news.
I'm off to Aldi to try for some of the 'miracle cream' lol.

So sorry to hear of your troubles, ((hugs)) enjoy your break with your friend.

:j:j Congratulations to your son :j:j

Thankyou every one for the kind wishes for my friends grand daughter, like you all said kids are resiliant, and they will get through it and it is lucky that they found it so early on.

  • Morning All,

Had a fantastic, but chaotic weekend in Swindon. Supposed to be having the drive flagged today but with the weather I'm not so sure it will be going ahead. Back to glitches and carrier bags today :D

Hope everyone else had a good weekend :D

Morning lovely people - Mondays are so difficult when you have had such good weekends.

But this week I have to knuckle down and get on with some tidying and desk clearing and de cluttering - no appointments, no visitors imminent until maybe Thursday night or Sunday, no builders, no distracting sunshine in the garden (although if I get more potting compost I might end up doing more spring bulbs in pots)

I had a routine hospital appointment which after trying for 2 days I managed to get through to, to change as it was not for the local but one that was a 32 mile round trip, no idea how I would have got there, combination of trains, buses and walking. They said they would send another letter. So a 2nd letter came on Saturday for the exact same hospital a 32 mile round trip away so yet again I have to keep re dialling to get it rearranged - exasperating.

And a letter that needs finishing, one that has been in progress for weeks and is turning into a right saga but today it will get finished and posted .

    Have fun everyone :)
