I have a question!
I picked up some Thermal Blackout curtains a few weeks ago but have been a bit tardy putting them up. They are the ones that don't have a lining but the backs are covered with like a fleece.
I've never had curtains before without a lining and am worried that these will be cold in the winter. They'll probably be OK in the summer to keep the light out so should I save them just for the summer?
At the moment I've got 2 identical pairs of curtains up in the bedroom - that's 2 pairs of lined curtains sewn together as I wasn't happy with the thickness of them when they arrived - they were cheap BUT I think that's why they were SO cheap & it wasn't a glitch as I thought. I've also got a fleece lining the curtains. I don't particularly like the curtains so am wondering what to do.
1. Should I keep the old ones up for winter - all 5 layers of them.
2. Will the thermal ones be that warm? I have my doubts but have never had thermal/blackout ones before.
3. Should I splash out & buy some heavier lined curtains that I really like, maybe buying thermal/blackout linings? I can afford to do this.

Good job Mr TS was home as I was taking advantage of good weather and washed a sleeping bag but it didn't drain properly no way would I have got filter undone.
I should have got him to check it other day when I still found a hair grip slid on pocket of DD3's jean shorts after the wash as she never uses just the one.
So he found bits of crisp packets , a black 5p , big button _pale_and said bent grip:mad: Draining fine now.0
