If the government spent less billions on building battleships and bombs and redirected the money into health and community services the world would be a better place.
Good morning all
Well said the problem is they are not there to look after the masses they are there to look after there own interests and corporate interests.
That's why if you have a tax bill you will be dragged through the courts and if its a large corporation they can say go and whistle and that's OK :mad:0 -

Yes, I know! I really, really love my job. Obviously higher wages would be nice but I think it's really important to do something you love even if the wages aren't great.
Thats great to hear, and well done to you. During my latest two stays the student nurses have been fantastic, and have seemed to have a little bit more time than the overworked regular nurses. Always keen, willing and eager with a smile on their faces despite some of the frankly disgusting jobs they have to do!
Morning all.
Feeling like I'm getting a tiny bit stronger every day, which is great. Yesterday I got dressed into proper clothes for the first time (other than hospital visits), and ended up going for lunch with a friend. Was really lovely to get out.
This afternoon I'm hoping to persuade DS to take me to Tesco (he finally has his car) so I can buy some new slippers, as mine are falling apart.
Once I'm a bit stronger I will consider driving again, but my mot has expired so need to get that sorted.
tweets, glad you're feeling better.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
FC, I hope you're ok, not seen you on here for a while?0 -
