    Karlie88,
I qualify as a nurse in April (I'm currently on my sign off placement) and as an 'insider' ie seeing it first hand and not in the media, I am completely with you.
Good luck in your career, I hope you don't get driven out, stick in there.

All the best with your sign off placement.

There are some very rewarding times ahead of you - but there will also be some tough times.

The nurses I have worked with have been bloomin' fantastic. :T Although the amount of paperwork you deal with is just ridiculous. More time nursing and less time form filling....

Really interesting. I had never seen the title physician associate before. looking on the NHS careers website it requires a 2.1 life science degree followed by 2 years post graduation course. So not to be sniffed at.

I agree. Tempted to go for it myself. :rotfl:

My sis just got a job catering for the people who organise the Fanzone for the Rugby in Trafalger Square. So hopefully 10 days work in London for me!!!
  • Redrose, the government have been reducing your wages for years. Good luck in your new career x

    It is madness.

    Thank you sunshinemummy

Yes, I know! I really, really love my job. Obviously higher wages would be nice but I think it's really important to do something you love even if the wages aren't great.

    Don't I know ...... sinks head in hands :o
    Jeremy Corbyn for Prime Minister!
Then we can stop wasting money on warfare, improve the NHS, build more houses for the poor, and improve community services.

Forgot to say. DS is being made redundant from his job as a online editor for Sky next week and after 3 months of searching has just been offered a job as online editor for MSN starting the week after he finishes the other job. Also will pick a nice tax free sum in redundancy which will be handy with the baby coming.

I cannot quote heol as he is on ignore but his statement

"If the government spent less billions on building battleships and bombs and redirected the money into health and community services the world would be a better place."

    is quite ridiculous.

Yes I suppose it would be "ridiculous" to someone who repeatedly ignores the plight of the lower classes and completely supports the tories come what may. Try giving consideration to the thousands of people dying in unkempt hospitals and those going without community support due to cut-backs. You should be ashamed of yourself promoting 'I don't care about anyone but myself' comments.

    Sorry, I need to comment.

Enterprise has always been lovely and supportive to me and to others. We all have different views, but we do not have a right to attack someone personally.

Good morning everyone. I have been missing for a while as real life is hectic. Think I have missed a few good glitches as well :( Could have done with some cheese and coke but never mind. Off shopping soon as no milk so hopefully there will be a few wombles about as not been near Asda all week so missed out on these as well. Hope you all have a great day. Looks nice and sunny outside so it will be gardening later. Thanks mhoc for the Bella Italia, managed to get a table, but unsure if I will get home in time to use it. Will decide tomorrow so I have time to cancel if I need to.
