On, and while we are on the "fat cat bankers", (who for the record I do believe have taken the p... and should be made responsible for their actions) ...
No one ever seems to say a bad word about their football playing counterparts.
They are also paid an obscene amount of money, they also often blow it on drink, drugs and fast cars and there is massive corruption all the way to the top (ie FIFA the World Cup etc). You all pay fortunes to watch these overpaid kids play, you pay fortunes to wear the cheap tacky replica kits, you pay fortunes to see them on Sky TV etc. The violence in the 70's and 80's though thankfully less so now, was a disgrace, and there is still rife racism on and off the pitch.
But oh no, football is idolised as "the Beautiful Game" of the working class that cannot have a bad word said about it.
None of which required an enormous bailout by the government.0 -

possibly it might be better to put a SORN on your car as you might be off road for a while yet, you can do it online.
DVLA will just send you a cheque for any unused months on your road tax or if you pay monthly then they will just cancel the direct debit and refund anything you have overpaid.
Then you wont have to worry about the MOT just yet
Keep your car insurance going, it still needs to be insured on the drive and anyway it might just be that you are out of action for a couple of months or so.
When you are ready to be let loose again, fit, able and dressed then you can book the MOT and tax the car onlineLadyshopper wrote: »Thats great to hear, and well done to you. During my latest two stays the student nurses have been fantastic, and have seemed to have a little bit more time than the overworked regular nurses. Always keen, willing and eager with a smile on their faces despite some of the frankly disgusting jobs they have to do!
Morning all.
Feeling like I'm getting a tiny bit stronger every day, which is great. Yesterday I got dressed into proper clothes for the first time (other than hospital visits), and ended up going for lunch with a friend. Was really lovely to get out.
This afternoon I'm hoping to persuade DS to take me to Tesco (he finally has his car) so I can buy some new slippers, as mine are falling apart.
Once I'm a bit stronger I will consider driving again, but my mot has expired so need to get that sorted.
tweets, glad you're feeling better.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
FC, I hope you're ok, not seen you on here for a while?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

please can I ask how much were your loo rolls - I did see some whilst whizzing through superdrug the other day but could not stop to investigate.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Good morning everyone. I have been missing for a while as real life is hectic. Think I have missed a few good glitches as well
Could have done with some cheese and coke but never mind. Off shopping soon as no milk so hopefully there will be a few wombles about as not been near Asda all week so missed out on these as well. Hope you all have a great day. Looks nice and sunny outside so it will be gardening later. Thanks mhoc for the Bella Italia, managed to get a table, but unsure if I will get home in time to use it. Will decide tomorrow so I have time to cancel if I need to.
Lovely to see you Elaine, I was just thinking of you this morning. Maybe we will bump into each other at Bella Italia:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau
