possibly it might be better to put a SORN on your car as you might be off road for a while yet, you can do it online.

DVLA will just send you a cheque for any unused months on your road tax or if you pay monthly then they will just cancel the direct debit and refund anything you have overpaid.

Then you wont have to worry about the MOT just yet

Keep your car insurance going, it still needs to be insured on the drive and anyway it might just be that you are out of action for a couple of months or so.

When you are ready to be let loose again, fit, able and dressed then you can book the MOT and tax the car online :D

Its insured and taxed, just no mot. Its parked on my drive. I'm hoping within the next couple of weeks I might be able to get it sorted.

What a gorgeous dog. Sorry you've put weight on through steroids, horrible. However, your chemo treatment is the main thing to worry about, get that out the way first before you worry about anything else. :)

    Back to my stripping. :(

Been delayed today by DD2 breaking down early hours and retrieving car this morning. Lights to dash out and car starts but cut out straight away. Thankfully Google was our friend, banging the dash worked treat dash lights back on and engine started but took straight to garage. Engine management light on all time now. :(

Hope your weekends turn out better than mine so far. :)

That is a choice people make. Nobody needs to pay for Sky or other subscription tv. The merits of the subscription tv model are debatable. I remember when people in Scotland went miles to watch football in places with a powerful enough arieal. Ashes away series, ryder cup away games used to be a highlight affair. The only downside to me of subscription tv is price. This is my choice.

What choice did i have when the banks plundered the nations coffers ?

We can, and should, agree to disagree. I have highlighted one particular area that bugs me, in order to make a point to balance other issues raised this morning. I am sure we can all say a lot more, but probably shouldn't.

Personally, I would rather politics be kept out of this thread as all it does is stir up arguments.

We all have our (differing) opinions, and we have a legitimate right to those opinions and are entitled to, even should, disagree.

Let us keep this thread for the glitches, money saving and banter that it does so well. 😀

    Afternoon all
Lovely and sunny here for a change :D

Got a nectar offer of 200 points for shopping at a sainsburys local. Typical, all my nearby sains are superstores

Thanks for the reminder, I have a new sains local store opening next week.

I can't post anymore I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It's probably a good thing though because he likes posing for a photograph.
Ladyshopper I'm glad you have settled back home again. I know my weight is the least of my worries but I have gone to slimming world for the last 15 years to keep on top of it so its very difficult to accept. I know I've gained the weight because I haven't been healthy eating. It's a vicious circle:(
