I think its Vision Express whereby you can buy a sort of extended warranty for your glasses which will cover repairs and replacement and it also gives a discount off other glasses purchases eg your friend or OHs
The cost depends on how much your glasses are but if you need them for work and/or driving and you have a history of glasses mishandling then its a good idea - I think it also refunds if you have not had a claim
We have used them for the last year years but next time we might just get the prescriptions and then shop around before deciding on where and what glasses to get - it seems very high pressure in there now and very expensive“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Superdrug were offering a free bottle of water with every purchase......"hydration for the nation"
It was one day only and was for members only. Might be worth grabbing a loyalty card for those who haven't got one just in case they start offering things like this on a regular basis.
Anyway, I was pleased to get it as it said that I had £2 to go towards my toilet roll purchase this weekend:T
they have discount offers every Thursday
They also have a new app which I've not played with yet - if its going to have freebies might be worth a go.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. For those going for the mystery bottles of wine, or anyone else getting wine from Tesco, there is a code for 500 clubcard points. Posted on the Tesco codes thread here to keep within the rules.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. it does seem a bit hard.:eek:
Never waste boosters until you have tried the level a few times. Decide carefully which boosters to use. Remember you can't use hammers on pop corn but you can use a hand booster to transfer fruit.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Morning all.
Hope everyone is ok.
I've just seen this https://www.justgiving.com/EmmaPite
on emmaps facebook, not sure if she's posted it as I've not read back yet. It's for a great cause and one that I know is close to a lot of people hearts on here- and she's doing it the day she gets back from the states!
Can we give it a little push and get em close to her target.

Morning everyone. I hope you're all well. Lurking here and there every now and then - glad to see some old timers and some new faces.
Just thought I'd mention that there's going to be some serious uproar soon within the UK medical field.
The government have pushed a new contract through whereby all junior doctors are to get a pay cut of between 15-30%. When I say junior doctor, I mean any doctor other than consultants/GPs - which is a LOT of British doctors. Not only that, our working hours will also be increased. This is going to get serious - you've heard it here first.
There is a lot of uproar within our professional field. Consultants' contracts are due to change too within the next few weeks.
Let's just say, out of the 50 junior doctors within my hospital - 6 emigrated to Australia/New Zealand, 3 have quit the profession altogether and 1 decided to take her own life - all within the past year.
Be prepared for strike action - it's the only way to get the message across I'm afraid.
I'm disgusted at the whole thing to be honest. Sorry, had to let off a bit of steam.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
