Good morning all, cloudy one out there.rhosynbach wrote: »thanks everyone for congrats on job and for well wishes after kick. I am ok luckily wound is under hair line.
Can i have a quick opinion. You know the very sad picture of the young child refugee on the beach that was on the fro.t of many papers. a few weeks sgo. Not putting to much detsil as do not want to upset anyone. Do you think that Is Suitable to have on a huge screen in a school assembly for 11 year olds. ds3 has Complained To the head teacher as he said it was inapropriete for the younger pupils.
I wondered What others thought thanks.
Eleven is way too young to see that on a big screen like that, by now everyone knows that child is dead but using that picture like that is not on, I should imagine quite a few were upset but was that the idea, were the school trying to upset the kids so they would bring money in for charity.
I remember while my kids were at school they were often shown things that upset the younger kids to try to get them to persuade parents to give them money to bring in for charity. We always refused because we preferred to donate money to UK charities and these were always overseas charities, mostly African. My OH lived in Africa for a couple of years, "charity donations" get sold off by the officials among other things.Following complaints to King.com level 1180 was made easier. I would guess that the easier version is currently on Facebook and hasn't yet reached the android version. You only need do it once on whichever device you can and then your game should sync onto any other devices. Most times that a level is made easier the level looks the same but the requirement made easier or less chocolate/ longer bombs etc This time they completely revised the level.
I have never come across a change quite like that, I was trying for hours on Android but did the FB one in two goes!!!!I should try complaining then - I have been on level 107 for weeks with stupid bombs and chocolate. At some point I should look up how to actually play and what all the different techniques ... but I can't be bothered.
Not linked to anyone, don't buy anything - I am not their best customer.

I think you'll find that very few if any people on here ever actually buy anything off them
As for how to play, you will pick it up as you go along but there are a few explanations on the net
I have another puzzle. I want to launch myself into the 21st century and get a smart phone. I have no idea what phone (apart from Android) and I do not know what tariff, I have absolutely no idea how long 250mb of data would last me! I currently have the talk mobile £1 per month sim only plan, would be happy to go sim only and buy the phone so long as the phone did not cost too much.
Am hoping a decent cashback offer comes along soonWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Morning all
I woke to find my glasses still on my head, distorted out of shape. Tried to put them back in to shape and SNAP!!
So I'm rocking the Jack Duckworth look :rotfl:
That made me chuckle:rotfl:
I think it's worse forgetting to take your contact lens out. You wake up thinking you've developed a nasty eye disease:eek:To do is to be. Rousseau

Just checking emails from yesterday.
Superdrug were offering a free bottle of water with every purchase......"hydration for the nation"
It was one day only and was for members only. Might be worth grabbing a loyalty card for those who haven't got one just in case they start offering things like this on a regular basis.
Anyway, I was pleased to get it as it said that I had £2 to go towards my toilet roll purchase this weekend:TTo do is to be. Rousseau

Apart from Henrik is anyone else happy with sloppy?
I think for those like me who generally shop at the weekend there's going to be fewer offers available and for those who don't have a smart phone, it will be problematic.
I think my £5 per week plan has gone well and trulymadly out the window:oTo do is to be. Rousseau

If she can't be discharged to go home then the hospital should involve a social worker who will also till you if you have to pay for the care or not. Was the first home near your oh not up to standard? The person with the final say should be her husband. Power of attorney will only override her husband if he really is in no fit state to say where he wants her to go. It is not to take all power away from him.
I would ask hospital about social services help. Places in homes are in short supply but it seems sensible she goes in local one so her husband and your oh can visit every day.
Ask for more advice.

I spoke to the care agency a couple of weeks ago and they said people dont have aspecific social worker now but have a number with Adult Social Care. i will call them and the hospital at lunch. My bil hasnt had a lot to do with his parents ( after years of taking money from them ) and has only come back on the scene recently. He does have his own health problems but even so. Father in law listens to my OH and he is going down today to talk to him. there is a vacancy in the local home but I think with extra care visits and commode etc at home she could see out her days there. If necessary I will speak up and tell my bil to not go so fast.0 -

She will :shhh: don't tell nerfy don't want to upset himbut off next Wednesday teacher training day :j:j:j.
We have been having 3 days pay taken out off our wages for quite a few years now and supposed to have been able to take these in odd days as long as office agreed . I have lost most off mine because when you ask they don't get back to you and I hate folk messing me about. They originally said you couldn't have teacher training days off had to go in and clean but this April we got a letter saying we could have the 2 teacher training days :j:j. I took one when DS graduated from uni but still waiting for office to tell me I can have day off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Another when I met the lovely bargainqueen and her hubby at the Christmas market in Manchester and last year school was shut for snow. So i have lost quite a few days0
