I think the Aldi pies that came top were the special ones with marzipan in them not the bog standard ones they used in the programme.
All the recipes they did are here

I liked the idea of the hassleback potatoes with bacon. Something new to try.0 -
Why do so many people hate him? he's great.0

I don't like him much because of the silly faces he pulls and his 'know it all' attitude, he's a greengrocer for goodness sake who was just in the right place at the right time I much prefer the other chap,at least he seems to be a bit more sensible0

In your opinion. Obviously other opinions will vary
Myself I don't hate him as I don't know him. However he is just a greengrocer so it amuses me to see he is being given such leads in food foccused programmes eg masterchef
Yes, Roxy07 is probably in the minority - at least as far as this thread is concerned.
In my post #246, there are 8 (yes eight!) quotes all from the first page of this thread saying they don't like Greg Wallace.
I'm not sure if anyone on here has said they actually hate him.
I too wonder what he's done to get such high ranking presenting jobs given his background.
I wouldn't be surprised if his silly, gurning face pops up on GBBO next.0 -

Hardly "just a greengrocer" when you look into his entrepreneurial background and that his 'greengrocer business' amassed an annual turnover of £7.5 million. He's also owned a couple of restaurants and was a radio broadcaster before he got into television presenting. He'd presented several foodie programmes, including Saturday Kitchen long before he started on Masterchef. I guess the BBC must like him, even if you don't.0 -

Well, there's been quite a lot of discussion about what people think about him on this and the thread related to the earlier series.0
