WaS, soooo proud of you even considering that lovely job. You would be a real asset to them, and it sounds as if you are thinking carefully about protecting yourself, as well. Go girl! xxxxxx
Hugs and squishes cupboard is open! xxxxxx Some with my signature on themxxxxxxxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Eek - now the person I'm supposed to be auditing is stuck in traffic (as is my boss, but I was happy with that one as it means I can get on with things without being watched). But I really do need the auditee to arrive!
I knew today was going to be one of the days when P cat managed to flick poop right out of the litter tray and throw up a hairball on the carpet.
If I hide at the back of the fort behind the squish cupboard can you all say you haven't seen me?!0 -
tea? tea? Has anyone seen tea around the place?

For some reason Birdie I read that as hairy knee! Think I was getting confused with the Hairy Bikers... that teach me not to skim read!!
Aargh - scary work thing today and the universe has decided to throw in crippling period pain to add to the fun. Also have my brownie mentor coming this evening to see how I interact with the girls and check my planning so just 12 hours of being observed and judged today..... roll on bedtime...
Haha, it is a bit hairy currently, I need to de-fuzz before getting my legs out for the doctor tomorrow! :rotfl:

Perhaps she's gone to have a wash!:rotfl:
I went out really early this morning, to take my neighbour to the airport. Hardly any time to get there, but getting back..............aaaargh! Hit all the rush hour traffic and sat in a creeping queue for ages. Then, when back in town, it was school run time as well! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
I never, ever travel in that direction at that time of the morning, and it was horrid! Plus I was extremely low on petrol and it took ages to creep, stop-starting, to the nearest petrol station!
The rest of the day it's fine, though. So glad I don't live in London any more. It's never fine there!
When I was working, I used to avoid the traffic by going in really, really early, and either leaving early or staying late. More productive than sitting in a creeping queue.
Mind you, for several years I had to brave motorways inc. the M25. Don't get me wrong, I like motorways; they're safe and fast. UNTIL they get jammed up a and then they're ghastly. My worst experience was a horrendous jam on the south orbital approaching the Dartford tunnel, in the middle of a snowstorm. Stuck there for five hours. When it did start creeping, I had to come off the motorway to find a loo, as by then I was desperate. Had to get back on the motorway and rejoin the jam, as the Woolwich ferry was out of action too, and so the whole of SE.London was a no-go area. Urrrrrrrrgh.was never so pleased to see my bed that evening.(I just lurve spiders!)

Birdie :T:T
WWI Penguin Well done, that's a really good loss. I don't think I'd be able to do any fast days, let alone two in a row. I completely forgot that it's Wednesday today but don't know that I would've gone anywhere near the scales even if I'd remembered. Since going away for my friend's birthday, where I probably drank about a month's calories, I don't seem to be able to get any motivation whatsoever to diet again and think I've probably put on about half a stone in the past two weeks. I know that I really need to get a grip and start eating healthily again but I don't seem to be able to resist crisps or biscuits at the moment. I also keep making excuses, like my parents are coming over this weekend so there's no point in starting yet cos I know I can't diet when I'm doing a nice dinner for everyone, even though I know that the very thing I'm using as an excuse is even more reason to eat as sensibly as I can the rest of the time. Gah, why is it that I can be a totally stubborn cow about so many things but willpower fails me completely when it comes to food?
On a more positive note, I have been to the gym a couple of times and have discovered that I actually quite enjoy the rowing machine - even if I did nearly fly off the back of it the first time I used it because it's so different from the kind of rowing I used to do as a kid (four static benches, a single oar each and out on the sea). / Penguin
As much as I didn't want to get a kindle at first, although I now love it and wouldn't be without it, I have found that it's much easier to resist buying too many books if I have to go into Waterstone's now. I find it much easier to impulse buy when I see the covers and read the blurb at the back but try to make a note of the books which I want and then have a look through Amazon and really think about it before I buy them.
There is of course the problem that, when I'm bored at work, I can very easily spend a fortune without realising because pressing the 'buy now' button doesn't feel like spending real money...
WaS, the counselling thing sounds amazing but, as everyone else has said, please make sure it's not going to have a negative effect on you.

Morning Shipmates,
Cuddles, hugs, handshakes, squishes for all today. Feeling very generous today.
Another bad night. And still in bed. But will get up and shower and might even defuzz myself :rotfl:
I have started to look on amazon for summer dresses. I know its raining and blowing gale here today. But want to get organised and as I earn amazon vouchers from surveys means I can get stuff for free or nearly free LOL!!!!
Pyxis, that picture is lovely. Think I might hide in the corner LOL!!!!
I think about getting up.
Everyone take care.
Yours

I've formulated a plan for doing a trial run of my scary thing in a separate place where it can't cause untold carnage for my customers if it goes horribly wrong, so I'm doing that this evening and doing some preparation for it today. If it works, I'll do the real thing tomorrow evening.
*crosses fingers, and everything else*I knew today was going to be one of the days when P cat managed to flick poop right out of the litter tray and throw up a hairball on the carpet.I do miss having a cat snuggle up against (or on top of) me on the sofa, but the flying litter / poop not so much!
