thanks Waves, you are wise beyond your years.. It is the abandonment trigger. I wish I could stop ruminating about it, it's going round and round and I can't seem to stop beating myself up for it.
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)
  • Some of us on the thread with ED's had a little chat and we have agreed that whenever possible we will penguin posts when we talk about it now. I should have thought of that earlier because we do penguin psychosis descriptions and other possible triggers but I didn't think of this one. Some people are on their phones and may not be able to penguin all of the time so in that case i thought of using the following example below which should give enough warning to skim past. If anyone cannot penguin on a phone it is fine to use this instead, we would much prefer everyone to post if they need to rather than think they can't because they can't white it out!

Example for when the penguins are not available:

The following post is a penguin about <subject here>

    Leave

    A

    Big

    Space

I've just thought of another thing you could do on a phone, if it works on a phone.
After the big space, could you write in small letters using the size button on the toolbar? If the penguiny post is also in small letters, it might make it easy to skim over.

I don't know how feasible using small letters is on a phone, though, not having a smart phone, you see.

    Just a thought.

    Like this.

    Penguin about ...........

    .

    ,

This would be the penguiny bit.
It's in size 1 letters, so smaller than normal
And might make it easier to skim over

    End penguiny bit.

    .

Then the rest of the post could be normal.

Yes he is...it's all the 1st years on his music degree course. Think there are 5 bands (could be 4, would have to check the poster again), even better for middle son is that his band are playing a song he has written (he wrote the music, someone else the lyrics).

It will be proud mummy night for sure.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Oooh, really good idea, Pyxis! That is another alternative if it's possible!

Melly, was it vandals, or was it the Council? Some Councils have rules about what can and can't be put on graves.:A
