Tea you handled that really well. Hugs.

WAS poor cat. Hopefully the vet will be able to sort her out.

  • I really hope so, tea. She has already had a hard life. It is complicated by the fact that my friend is living at her dad's for the next few months. He is having treatment for Hepatitis that he got through a syringe at work, the treatment is very good but makes one very ill while it is taken so she is caring for him, too. He isn't greatly fond of cats as it is so this won't go down well if this becomes a long term problem.

It sounds like your friend has a lot on her plate at the moment. Have everything crossed that the situation with her cat can be sorted. She's probably feeling a bit overwhelmed right now.

Funnily enough I dreamt about FOH last night. Dreamt that I bumped into him in a train station, I was speaking to him but kept saying it was a bad idea and the police wouldn't like it. Was odd to be in that situation a few hours later. Thank you all for being so supportive as always. I certainly don't feel like I handled it well at all. Am mostly just having an utter panic that he'll actually have listened to what I said...which makes me very cross with myself.

Why are you panicking that he would have listened to you? Am puzzled.

Because I can't be sure that I mean it.
  • That's understandable tea, feelings don't just switch off when you split with someone. You can know logically that it is a ridiculously bad idea to be together but that doesn't mean that a little part of you doesn't still love them and hope things could work out. Have a hug.

I think maybe he was saying things that you'd longed to hear for years and never did, and now he was saying them, and your heart feels like you should be happy he's saying them at last. But your head knows differently. :A

Tea, many years ago, when I separated from my husband, there was a time a few months later, when I was so lonely, so unhappy, and so worn down with being on my own with two babies, that one day when he was visiting them, I looked at him and thought, should I just ask him to come back?
Luckily I didn't, and then next day, I was so glad I hadn't. It would have been a disaster and a nightmare repeating itself.

But for a little while I wavered. I wavered and it wasn't as if he were begging me to let him come back, because he wasn't.

So the torment you're going through is more than understandable. It's messing with your head big time.

Thanks Torry {squish} back at ya.

I have managed to drag my whining head out of its miserable little stress corner and decided I am going to have some fun..........my way............ and if other people don't like the way I have fun.............. they can shove off!

And so................ I have just ordered 400 nerf gun darts........my idea of fun is to copy a fab photo I saw on pinterest which has a nerf gun taped to the front door for when hubby gets home that says "I am in the house with the other nerf gun, whoever loses cooks dinner.".........................so that is what I am going to do.
Except I am going to leave the teeny weeny nerf gun on the door with 10 darts and I am going to have the big nerf gun with the other 390 darts..........coz hubby rides the bike to and from work - so he will have full body armour and crash helmet on when he sees the note so I will need an advantage.
perfectly normal marital fun for a pair of forty somethings right?
