I used to work with a lovely woman who used to eat fattening foods constantly and stayed unbelievably slim. This used to confuse me until I noticed how active she was. Whenever she walked anywhere she walked very fast, she would run upstairs, when sitting still she would constantly shift position and jiggle her legs, wave her arms around and leap up and down when she spoke. She was actually burning the calories off all of the time simply by being so hyperactive. I have often wondered if that is case for most people who can eat loads but stay slim? She is the only one I have ever met who could do so and there was a clear correlation between her activity and her weight but she wasn't trying to do it, she was just naturally extremely bouncy..Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

But the current theory is that it's the micro-organisms in your gut which help, as well. I can see this leading to poo transplants for all  (yes, poo transplants really are a Thing )

I was reading an article about the difference gut microbes can make the other day. Although I have to say, poo transplants are a new concept to me?! I'd google but frankly I'm too scared!0

Big hugs HBS. Not first world problems at all. The right job is around the corner, I'm sure! And you're just lovely all over! Hopefully your OH will be more interested in hanky panky and general loving-ness once he's less stressed, he probably doesn't even know that you're feeling the way you are and would be upset if he did know!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
It's annoying that you aren't getting as much as you should have but at least you will get something. I am so relieved for you, Melly!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
