I feel bad. I didn't answer a phone call because I couldn't be bothered talking to the person. :o

It was my cousin who I last spoke to on Christmas Day, and when I spoke to him then he mentioned they were planning on organising a 90th birthday party for my Aunty and could I tell my Mam and D and see if we could all go and then phone him back. Well, I never did. :o What with all that's been going on with D's job lately, it slipped my mind, and then when I did think on to phone him I just didn't as I cba talking to him.

I got on with him really well, just can't be bothered with the fake cheeriness that I'd have to put on, and my mind can't cope with stuff at the moment.

Something so simple, but I just feel so overwhelmed atm. :(
    I understand that, Georgie. :A

And that's what I love about this thread. :grouphug:

I don't even want to check the voicemail yet as that would mean I'd have to phone him back. :p

Im sitting here waiting for D to come back (thought he would have been back ages ago tbh) and then I need to get ready for to go out. Pah I'll listen to it later and deal with it then.

Tea, I was thinking about your dating this morning and I remembered some advice I received from a lecturer once. He said that women should date men around 8 years younger than them because they'd be able to support them for longer. If you retire at 65 and your partner is only 57, then that's 8 years longer at a full salary when your mortgage is probably already paid off. So shift your profile to younger dudes :rotfl:

Definitely report this latest action to the police. They need to know that he's not laid off the creepy stalking.

Calley - a lot of bunnies don't like being picked up so it could be that. Get down on the floor with her and give treats when she hops onto you.

Yay Georgie - another sinistra! Both my parents are right handed and dismissive of left handed products so it took me longer than it should have to realise it was easier v to draw a line from right to left. I still can't use a fountain pen.

    Totally understand Georgie. I'm a classic call/voicemail avoider! :o

Go get yourself ready now, you'll feel lovely once you're all made up and nice smelling!

That book does sound interesting Calley, my Dad would love it! One of his favourite factoids is that Coca Cola originally contained cocaine! I'll be watching the Victorian Bakers tonight (probably), quite an interesting programme!

Georgie don't feel bad. I think it's common for people to put off making calls even when they haven't got stuff going on (it certainly is for me anyway) so you're most definitely allowed a pass for now on this one.

I put my hand towards to let her sniff it and then she backs or runs away. and never try and force a stroke.

she some times comes and sees what I am doing. but not very often.

    Yours

Yay! Another member of the dark side! *evil laugh* I can't use a fountain pen either.

Both my parents are right handed too, and I like most lefties had to adapt to their right handed ways.

Thanks all, glad it's just not me who sometimes cba talking and avoids calls!

Georgie, I was thrilled when technology developed the Caller Display facility on phones.
To start with, I didn't fear the phone ringing, because I could see who it was.
Then once I knew who it was, I could decide whether I felt up to talking to them. The answer machine was on permanently, so if I didn't feel like it, I could still hear their message and could then decide again, whether to pick up or not.

It saved me a lot of grief, and still does.

The only flaw is that I get very worried by withheld number calls. I used to know someone who always withheld her number, so she would use a ringing code so that I'd know it was her, otherwise I wouldn't answer.
My GP surgery comes up as withheld, which is a nuisance!

The worst calls are withheld numbers who then don't leave a message.
