Glad your finger is in one piece Georgie! Never even thought about lefties needing special knives but it's a good point now I think about it!

Anything I'm cutting starts off say an inch at one end and ends up a cm on the other. :rotfl:

I'd never thought about needing different knives if you're left handed either, although it makes perfect sense.

I should probably have kept using rubbish plates (not that mine were expensive, I just like them) as my OH managed to chip the edge of one these http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_332097500494PC12_-1 the other day and you can't get them anymore. I tried very hard not to be grumpy about it but failed dismally.

Tea, as has already been said, you need to log that with the police too. I really don't understand how he can't see that his behaviour is totally unacceptable.

Melly, I hope you manage to get some rest soon. My old neighbours were nowhere near as bad as yours and I know how much that used to grind me down.

Well on the plus side it very much shook me out of yesterday's feeling sorry for him mood. Muppet. :rotfl:

Georgie - I can't cut straight either. You should see the state of a loaf of bread after I've been at it :rotfl:.

I've been wanting new crockery for ages, but can't find anything I really like.
Problem is, I like porcelain, or at least bone china, but I don't like classic designs much. I like quirky stuff.

I'm another one who can't cut straight. Also, my mum and I cut on opposite wonks so if I try to cut a loaf that she's already started then you can have a slice of bread that's a total doorstep one side and runs out of crust the other side.

Today's list of things I just love about online dating:
    • seeing that someone new has added me as a favourite, then realising it's my stalker ex with another profile (and fake age) to replace the one he told the police he'd deleted.
    • messages from guys with usernames along the lines of 'sensuallickingforu' who call me babe.
    Convent application form on standby.

Tea, Report it to the police.

Tell me about it I really hate being called love, hun babe by people I don't know or not in a relationship with.

Talking of cutting bread, did you see Victorian Bakers last night?
I had no idea that baking in industrialised Victorian Britain was such dreadfully hard work and so dangerous, not to mention that the bread they made could be lethal!

Not just bread but sweets made with heavy metals for colouring.

This is a really interesting book called swindled: The Dark History of Food Fraud From Poisoned Candy To Counterfeit Coffee.

    Really worth a read.

  • I feel bad. I didn't answer a phone call because I couldn't be bothered talking to the person. :o

It was my cousin who I last spoke to on Christmas Day, and when I spoke to him then he mentioned they were planning on organising a 90th birthday party for my Aunty and could I tell my Mam and D and see if we could all go and then phone him back. Well, I never did. :o What with all that's been going on with D's job lately, it slipped my mind, and then when I did think on to phone him I just didn't as I cba talking to him.

I got on with him really well, just can't be bothered with the fake cheeriness that I'd have to put on, and my mind can't cope with stuff at the moment.

Something so simple, but I just feel so overwhelmed atm. :(
