((georgie)) - Hope it all goes ok. D should find a job no problem - especially if he's good at what he does. It might not be at home, but that's no bad thing, especially if he's feeling low - I've found that talking to someone other than Mr CP help, even if its just about tv.

((hbs)) - hope you feel better and you find a new job quickly too. If you do, you'll have the redundancy to spend on shoes.

Last time I was made redundant, I found a much better job, so there's hope.

WaS, if you've not done so, turn off the power to your bedroom in case its affected the light fitting. Water and electricity are a bad combination. Then WaSP should advise the person upstairs if someone lives there because they need to turn their water off and contact the landlord. Perpare for someone entering your flat to check the damage. Hugs for you too.

Not having a good day. Actually, I woke up on Monday and a thought popped into my head that it was going to be a bad week. And so far, I'm right.

I've found the answer to working from home and actually getting any work done. Planned to be at home today but Virgin have broken the broadband - couldn't face the thought of trekking into the office so am at my parents' house.

Constant tea and biscuit supply, someone else is paying for the heating, and I'm actually doing some work. Am clearly not flat out (ha!), but as my usual WFH involves serious naps or just ignoring the laptop and reading a novel this is an improvement :D

    Right, Wednesday Weigh in!

If you're in it, let us know how you're doing and I also want to hear 3 good things about yourself/your life/what positive steps you've made over the last week and 3 positive things for the coming week!

Remember, this is about being healthy and happy so the positive things aren't exclusively diet-orientated, it can be stuff like getting your hair done, having a manicure, treating yourself to new bed socks... whatever makes you feel good! :D

I have STS this week at 160lb but in my defence, it's our base-line weigh-in at work today so I'd have been doing myself a disservice to lose weight before now! ;)

3 good things from last week:

    1. I have walked for at least 30 minutes a day over the last 4 days and I always feel better just for that little bit of fresh air and stretching of the legs
    2. I have tried to drink more water during the day rather than pour a glass and find it still full at the end of the day
    3. My skin seems to have cleared up after being inexplicably lumpy bumpy for a week or so (hormones? Christmas diet? Who knows!)

3 Postive steps for the week ahead

    1. I have committed to play badminton tomorrow and hope that next week I take the leap to play twice, if not, I must go once
    2. I will book in for a haircut as after all the drama with DH the other day I've noticed that my hair is actually quite lively now and could do with taming!
    3. I will play Just Dance on the xbox after convincing DH that we neeeeeeeeded a Kinect and Just Dance when we were buying the xbox then only played it a couple of times!

I didn't know this was a thing, but I'll join in if that's ok :)

I weight 83kg (not a clue in old money), and need to get fown to 65kg ish, as I'm seriously short.

3 good things from this week:
    1. We are having a home visit for a new little dog, Gus, from the local charity.
    2. I didn't lose my bizzle at any point.
    3. GAD seems to be getting slightly better. Hard work, but better.

3 positive steps for the week ahead:
    1. Try and get out a little more. Even head to Home Bargains, scary big shop which is always busy, its my idea of hell!
    2. Make positive affirmations every day.
    3. Exercise as much as I feel able to, and not push myself too much.

WaS, hope the leak(s) get sorted, its no fun trying to catch them!

The house is great, if completely a mess. Its so quiet here, I can actually get on with things without drunken violent chavs walking past my windows screaming obscenities at 8am - used to be a running joke that I didn't need an alarm clock! And without my ex-neighbours screaming at all hours its been sheer bliss. I might not have a bathroom sink, my kitchen may fall off the walls at any moment and my back door may have a large hole in it, but its BLISS!

    Afternoon shipmates,

Firstly FB thanks for the hug here is a big squish back for you.

Melly take it easy please. Its your bodies way to telling you to slow down and take care of yourself.

Not sure why feel crappy. Still not gone to have my x-ray done as its a walk in thingy rather than appointment. I know I know.

Husband had his ultrasound scan yesterday and there seems to be gallstones :( I don't think mentally he can face the thought of a op. And neither can I to be truthful. Spent so much time with him at appointments and in hospitals not sure I can face having to see him go in for a op.

Me well I am in strange mood. Something last night triggered it. I was tidying up my room when I went to bed at 9.30 and sorting out paperwork for keeping, shredding and re-cycling. I even hooked stuff out from under the bed. I have dust bunnies under the bed. Actually think they might giant lops :rotfl:

I found a piece of paper with my ex's number on. I put it in the box for shredding and NO I did not use it.

I just feel a bit lost today. No energy to do anything. Still in my dressing gown!!!!

Was suppose to be going out with my lodger for drinks tonight as he has been a bit down. Mainly self inflicted by being a tool :rotfl:not sure I can bothered to shower, dress and put makeup on!!!!

Crying now and not even sure why. Just feel that my life is failure and I have nothing to show for it.

My rabbit wont even let me stroke her. So thinking it might have been a bad idea to get her in the first place.

Not felt like this in a long while. Maybe its my TOTM soon. Normally don't have issues like this. I feel like a needy whingy b1tch today.

Anyway hugs and squishes, handshakes to all that need them. I will bung some poached eggs on toast in to the fort. Filling and good for you.

    Yours

    Calley

    g).

This will be me today ^^^^^ Infact, I'd really love a tree house! :D

Thanks all for the hugs, advice and for sharing your experiences with me, it does help (until I start wallowing again!) and that's what is so great about this thread! :)

Elsien, glad to hear that everything worked out for the best for you in the end up.

WaS, I hope you've managed to get it sorted by now and that it hasn't caused too much damage

Sorry you're having another bad day code.

Tea, that sounds like the perfect way to work from home! :D

Congrats on the new house Dom! :)

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly Melly :( Touch wood, I haven't had a cold this year, although I've just been round to my Mam's, and she is chocka. She's been in bed for most of the week and that isn't like her, she's coughing like a 40 a day smoker and says she hasn't felt this bad in a long time. :(

I'm meant to be going out tonight, but I can't be bothered putting the effort into getting ready! :rotfl:
