    tea,

Don't be so hard on yourself. (But I am actually glad that your marriage and stalking is not putting you off men altogether).

Why don't you join one of those groups like this (I don't know where you live)

    http://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/

or young farmers or something else.

Try googling social groups for adults in their (whatever your decade is - I can't remember details like this for posters).

Don't look for love, look for fun.

Try meetup groups Tea. There are specific dating groups, but the more general social groups are lovely as you make friends and get to do loss of nice things. There may be an added bonus of meeting someone for a date, but if not then you make friends which is always good.

I looked at our local rock choir, but at £25 a month I can't justify the cost at the moment. The community choir is a gospel one which seriously is not me. Might have another look to see if there's any things I've missed up till now. I do fancy a good singalong but I'm not the most tuneful so need somewhere I can be drowned out by others.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

There are also community choirs, which are more low,key and not so fussy about people singing in tune etc. You'd have to look for one that sings music you like, but they'd be a lot cheaper, usually much, much cheaper.

I am having a lovely, organising, decluttering day as DH is going to the recycling centre tomorrow, so I thought I'd see if there is anything else that can go with him. Recycling centre is a catch-all phrase that means: recycling centre/charity shop/old folks centre/nursery/family/anywhere that may be grateful for specific things.

It is a mystery what has happened to the cleared out contents of my medicine cabinet though. He refused to take it the other day when he went up town because he was embarrassed. I may have to investigate in case it is stashed in a corner somewhere.

All this would be brilliant if I didn't have something else that is more important to do that is not therefore getting done. I think I am going to have to deal with it in elephant bites.

Did try meetup last yr but the only local group is mostly older people and they do a lot in the daytime. I see them once a month or so but that's about it.

Have also previously been in a community choir for a couple of yrs - it was fun at the time but it started getting more serious and I couldn't commit to it. Again though, the clientele were usually 20 or so yrs older than me.

Georgie, Mr HL is totally off radar. I replied to his reply (iyswim) on wed and I've heard nothing since. He's been online. It would be totally wrong to contact him this evening....right??

Forget him tea. He had his chance and he blew it. Seriously, pre-jiggy at least they should be moving mountains to try to impress you, so if they're not, it's not going anywhere. Next!

Yeah, you're right. Would work so much better if I had other options :rotfl: there's so few non-freaky people!

Plenty of other options that aren't loonies. Just need to look for them. Maybe relax your criteria if they aren't already. You are lovely and deserve a man who will treat you as such.
