I am rubbish when it comes to cooking pasta or rice (or chips, but that's just me being greedy!) just for me as a single serving just looks so small and not worth cooking so I add a little more, then a little more, and another sprinkle thinking, well I can have it as leftovers tomorrow... then scoff the lot and feel terrible!
I weigh my pasta and use a cup for rice to ensure I don't do enough for two people, because that's exactly what I used to do, then end up staring at a huge bowl of food with no idea of how I was going to eat it all!
No resolution to lose weight for me this year, last year I said I would try to lose 5kg, and ended up putting that much on. Getting worryingly close to having to buy new trousers in a bigger waist size now .

I have just received two different pieces of news - the kind of news that makes me want to stuff my face. (Will have a negative effect on my finances). So I need to focus this year on healthy body/healthy mind because that should be an achievable goal whatever else happens. Walks are free, after all.
I hate any form of jumping due to boobs, stomach and bum giving me aftershocks.
I must sort through some paperwork this weekend or I am going to go into full-blown panic.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Sorry you've had bad news. Would it be worth rethinking the Gousto thing or is that the lesser evil compared to what you can waste if you have to go supermarket shopping?
I know it's incredibly difficult to stick to but do you find that you can plan what you're going to have for dinners for a week and then buy just what you need in one go? When I can manage to do it I find that I spend a lot less and eat more healthily.0 -
In a not too subtle hint to get back into lunchtime badminton/any kind of activity DH has just bought me 2 new sets of leggings and t-shirt combos so that I can't have the excuse of not having any suitable attire!
They're very nice and I must make sure that I actually wear them to do something in rather than just slouching around even though they look comfy enough to do so!
Maybe when we do the weigh-in Wednesday we should do the 5 positive things to promote 'Healthy Mind' too?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I feel the gym would benefit both your physical and mental wellbeing right now and be your big step forward from all the past rubbish . ww - sorry you've had bad news as well. Seems like a right shower of it over the last few days x.0 -
Here's 2 little secrets...
The first is that people in the gym don't give a tinker's toot what you look like. They are focused on themselves, just like you are.
The second is that you only ever have to be brave for 20 seconds. That is all.
Takes 20 seconds to walk into the gym and on to a treadmill, bike or weight bench.
Takes 20 seconds to tell the hairdresser you want a new look.
Takes 20 seconds to sign up for a course.
And so on.
20 seconds of insane courage will set you free

Speaking of jobs I still haven't heard from the agency.
Also hbs is right. When I used to go the gym, I was too focused on not dying to notice anyone else. Also who gives a toss what some random stranger you might never meet again, thinks of you.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Got another interview this one's a week on Monday
Eta- Code give them a deadline in your head then call them tell them they have until deadline to get back to you or you won't be talking to the client.0
