Well is everyone ready?
all that planning and shopping and its here, I'm a bit worried I don't have enough pressies for DDs boyfriend, but I can't do anything about that now
I should be cooking my turkey, but I feel like I'm coming down with something so having an hour in bed and see if I can shake it off. I've bought a lot of ready made food though so not too much cooking tomorrow thankfully.
Merry Christmas to you all, I hope whatever your plans you enjoy your day be it peaceful or busyI only found all you lovely people a few days ago and do appreciate the welcome you all gave me. I don't know you very well yet, but hope to get to know you better next year. Love to all x

t'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, nothing was stirring .........
...... not even a Gitdog wondering why strange things were happening to him yet again.
Wishing everyone a happy Christmas, and whatever sort of day you have planned may it be the best that it can.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Littlewing has been to the doctor's and is now on antibiotics. (I am sorry for her but also a little bit pleased as she hasn't had the energy to get all her toys out).
Didn't make the cakes I was planning though as I ran out of time. I will make them at some point over the next couple of days.
I am giggling at JM's poorly foof! That made me laugh so much. I do sympathise about the poorly tooth though.
WaSp has my sympathy. I am looking at a cardboard box that needs covering in wrapping paper. I also have a few presents to wrap. But an achy throat is winning. I am at the stage that 5 minutes jobs take 15 mins of mental effort plus 20 min of feeling sorry for myself working slowly. It will get done sometime before it's needed. I may just give in and rest.
Am off work for a few days though and did manage to tick everything off my work list for the first time ever.
I love you all - each and every one of you on this thread.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Well the hospital visit went alright today and my relative is much relieved.
I slept very little last night though so had to drag myself out of bed and am shattered. Hope for a better night but not holding my breath.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas season.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Well, poorly foof is feeling quite a bit better
I was amazed - I went to see a friend in hospital and she offered me a bit of Panettone. I COULD SMELL IT! I haven't smelt anything properly for ages, and I suspect that ONE antibiotic has helped to restore my sense of smell
:D:D - onwards and upwards!
Foof still hurts if I don't take painkillers, but once I'm dosed up I can even chew on it carefully now! No alcohol for 3 days, but that was on the cards anyway - looking forward to some nice wine at new year
Hope everyone has a really lovely day tomorrow - those of you who are alone, snuggle up warm, enjoy some telly or other decadence and {learn to} enjoy your own company xxxxxx
