Thanks calley I am worried about me if I'm honest
  • That actually sounds like a plausible idea, Melly. Can you ask CAB about that?

**Catches the squish and squishes even more!**

Will the steamer work on the oven door WaS? That happened to me with some bakeware once (didn't realise it was originally shiny silver rather than black!) and it's so annoying once you realise because you can't stop at one small patch! :p

Something nice happened to me this morning and it made me think about perspectives and whatnot. There's a woman at work who I always say I want to be like 'when I grow up' - she's ~10 years older than me, slim, beautiful, always beautifully put-together, like she's stepped off the page of an LK Bennett catalogue etc. We were having a meeting and at the end of it she commented on the fact that my earrings matched my dress and how I'm always so well co-ordinated and colourful and how she wished she could dress more like me... isn't it funny how I spend all my time wishing I was more like her and she comes out with that?! Cheered me right up... although it's a bit concerning that if I wear dark colours for more than 2 days in a row I get people commenting and asking if I feel OK! :p
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Speaking of oven cleaning.... my Dad has been looking after P cat while I was away. He's also created a list of things that need doing around the house that he's now working his way through. To be clear - this is lovely, not irritating! I do keep telling him he doesn't need to do these things but it keeps him happy... and out of my mum's way for a bit lol. He's already been round this morning and fixed a curtain rail that I've been meaning to get round to for years. He also looked inside the oven and I think was pretty horrified :rotfl: (when I was at parents' house last they were cleaning the oven and I admitted I'd never cleaned an oven in my life - I just move house when it needs doing!) I'm not sure he believed me so he checked it when he was here... he believes me now!

This pof lark is very addictive! I feel like an actual half-attractive person lol. Not sure I'll ever have the nerve to actually meet anyone though.

Yes, you must have some dates, tea. (Now that I am married, I have to live my life through you lot, haha).

Can I borrow your dad too please?

I was annoyed with DH this morning for looking unenthusiastic about the huge list of things to do before the end of the year. Then he starts talking about doing some DIY next Spring. I mean, men! (Present company excepted, ono).

Has anyone said, "it's a bit of a penguin" in real life yet? I nearly did the other day.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
